The art has definitely improved. Look at it compared to The Authority or JLA: Earth 2.

I just bought the Vol. 1 hardcover, and I just have one thing to say: I ****ing love this book!

Each issue is like its own little mini-story, like a mini-story inside a story. And Frank Quitely's art looks absolutely beautiful....I don't know if it's Quitely changing his style a bit, the colorist, the inker, or a combination of all three, but the art just looks so amazing.

I think my favourite issue is the one with Atlas and Samson and their attempts to win Lois Lane.

And the art is terrific.

I like Quitely's storytelling but Jamie Grant's digital inking and coloring gives every panel a flat quality. The lines are too thin and he doesn't know how to use color to give the illusion of depth.

That one is awesome. Superman arm-wrestling both of them at the same time and not even breaking a sweat - That was great.

I really like that one, too. I like the concept of a couple of 'strongmen' heroes in the DCU rather than just Supes and Cap. Their hilarious, clashing egos always make for interesting dialogue.

Eee! New issue!

It was pretty cool. The l33t 24th century Superman was Bizarro-annoying.

But there was SO much in this issue. I think though, the series' incredibly slow release schedule is harming it. It's been going on too long. The substance of the series' story line just isn't up to being told over two and a half fricking years.

But it's awesome. I'm looking forward to getting some kind of uber-hardcover of all 12 issues.

I actually really like that idea. 'Death of Superman' not only in the 21st Century, but in Morrison's magical, candy floss All-Star Universe.

Can't wait.

Issue 10 is supposed to be the best 'homage' to Superman ever written. Can't wait to read this one.

Still not very fond of Frank Quitely's S-logo, it must be said. The cape also annoys me. I love the rest of the art and designs, though.
