24- The Bauer Power Hour series discussion (spoilers)

So I notice an interview in "Stuff" magazine with the guy who plays Curtis Manning aka "The Black Jack".

He said everyone dies in this season. Everyone but Jack.

I don't know if he was joking or if he was being serious.

I desperately want a spin-off featuring CTU: DC w/ Cutis Manning.

Nothing over the top like the current 24.....but action packed nonetheless.

You never know. Alot of poeple bit the dust last season.

Great idea, I'd watch it.

So this guy at the comic shop saw me grabbing the 24 comic "Nightfall" (issue#3 comes out this week for those who care)....

and he asked why I like the show? He kept going on about how absured it is.

I told him 24 is TV's NEXTWAVE. Anything can and does happen. It is awesome simply because it is.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force is TV's Nextwave.

I've tried desperately to refrain from reading spoilers on IMDb about the new season, but it's been so hard! I won't even put anything in spoiler tags here, for those of you who, like me, can't resist reading a spoiler when it's there, and if you've already heard it it will be reduntant, but suffice it to say that the premiere sounds AMAZING. While I'm worried about what this pre-release of the DVD will do to the ratings, I sure know one viewer who will be tuning in.

You kicked him in the balls right?

Such things go without saying.

I have been incredibly strong in not reading the spoilers. I have yet to do so and probbaly won't. I'm going into this season cold and will bask in awesome glow of each shocking revelation.

While I'm worried about what this pre-release of the DVD will do to the ratings, I sure know one viewer who will be tuning in.

Are you kidding? I doubt the pre-release will even make a dent in ratings.

Where have you heard about it being a pre-release? The official FOX statement I read was that on Tuesday (the day all DVDs come out), January 16th, the day after the 2nd half of the premiere, all four episodes will be collected on one DVD for people who either a) want to watch them again, or b) missed one or both of the premieres (The Golden Globes, which does better than 24 in the ratings, is on Monday night).

Re: 24- The Bauer Hour series discussion (spoilers)

It seems to me that you read the article, and now my post, until you found something to respond to, then disregarded the rest. I'm not trying to attack you, that's just how it seems to me.

??? I read it all. I just didn't have any additional comments on the rest. Did I miss answering a question? I didn't mean to if I did.

The countdown continues...

Apparently, the first four episodes were leaked onto the internet before any release. The general assumption is that someone managed to get their hands on one of the DVD's and put it on the 'net. Don't ask me how that happened, but it did, and many people have now seen it.

Ah. Well, I'll be avoiding those like the plague! :) I was upset enough this morning when the newspaper spoiled that in episode 1 Jack
bites someone in the jugular as a means of torture.

Neat, huh?

I'm also glad that there's no school on Monday; that way, all the Bauer talk at school will be about the first four hours, rather than just two.

Wow. Not quite as . . . character-deathy as last season's premiere. But so fantastic. Jack Bauer really is a changed man. I'm so glad that they decided to develop his character beyond his usual screaming self. He even didn't finish interrogating someone! These episodes really remind me of why this is the BEST show on television.

Here's two piss poor reviews I found from Yahoo TV! when I was trying to look for a preview video to check something:

BLACK U.S. PRESIDENTS, ORIENTAL SUICIDE BOMBERS, ALL BUT A FEW TERRORISTS ARE ANYTHING BUT MUSLIM FUNDAMENTALISTS, DON'T Y'ALL THINK POLITICAL CORRECTNESS HAS DONE GOT OUT OF HAND? (WITH APOLOGIES TO WAYLON)
LUDICROUS, UNBELIEVABLE, AND I TURNED IT OFF AFTER THE 1ST 10 MINUTES!

this is so gay gust kill the [profane]en president its starting to piss me off!!! so fix the show or pay me and ill come kill that [profane] so the story isent so [profane]ing gay!!!

HE. BIT. HIS. NECK.

HE....BIT....HIS....NECK...

No ****. That was 15 times better than him shooting a woman in the leg. Jack is ****ing hardcore.

That was the one thing that stuck out in my mind after the 2 hours ended. The fact that Jack has forgotten how to stop terrorists. That alone was awesome. The fact that he has to become Jack Bauer again.

Kumar is a terrorist!!!!!

Also...I'd like to note---Jack Bauer has only been back in America for less than 2 hours and he got cleaned up real good and prevented a bomb from killing hundreds of people.

What did you do this morning?

Let this be a calling to all: Get a ****ing haircut and go kick *** in the name of America!

I honestly can't wait to see Audrey back in the scene. I get the feeling that when she and Jack meet up again after almost 2 years of not seeing each other, she'll be stunned for a few seconds, then slap the **** out of him, even though its not his fault (its like women have to do that for some damn reason!), hug and kiss him, and then do him. But we won't see the doing. Nope. Scene was deleted. THOSE BASTARDS!
