Why is Will.i.am, a Black-Eyed Pea with no acting experience whatsoever, being cast in a role that could just as easily be filled by a much better actor?

I don[t support such a casting, but SERIOUSLY, every aspiring actor has to get their experience from somewhere.

It's not like the Wraith role will be around to do much of anything except say a few lines and beat someone up.

Yeah. and, uh.... It's an X-Men movie. an X-Men spin-off movie. It's not Citizen Kane.

That and one of the things about casting is that eventually you have to find some role to fill with potentially talented n00bs, regardless of whether you're going for blockbuster fare, limited release arthouse productions, or Oscar-aspirant material.

It's like saying every guest star on a TV show needs to be a big name actor.

Oh wait, they did that on Will & Grace.

Ironically, Citizen Kane was cast entirely with actors making their film debuts.



Nice to see Wolverine keeping with the X3 tradition of giving random mutants names of other established characters they bare no relation to whatsoever.

Apparently Dominic Monaghan will be portraying Beak in this movie.

Apparently Dominic Monaghan will be portraying Beak in this movie.

He is, but his Weapon X name is going to be "Blackwing", and he 'shapeshifts' into bird form:

Barnell's body changes into that of a humanoid-bird form, with a beaked face, bulbous eyes, wing-like arms that give him the ability to fly (albeit clumsily), talons on his hands and feet, and double-jointed knees. In mutant form, Blackwing also possesses heightened agility, and he may possess heightened senses and a lighter skeletal structure like the avian X-Man formerly known as the Angel.

I'm still disappointed that Nathan Fillion, Famke Janssen, James Purefoy, David Boreanaz, Ron Perlman and Adrian Pasdar aren't in it.

I hate this. It's not just the way they're butchering the characters - but it seems like they're taking away from the focus of the movie, Wolverine.

They're all going to be opponents for him or other experiments. I hated that in the old comics Wolverine and Sabretooth were the only mutants in Weapon X. It makes sense for them to have all of these characters in it. Albeit in small roles, still important. The focus will most definetly be on Wolverine/Stryker/Sabretooth in the movie.
