What Do you Read

I'm just finishing up The Shining.

Damn, I'm growing to love Stephen King day by day. This book is a hundred times as terrifying as the film.

Hell yes. I'm addicted to Stephen King now...

I also want to read Chuck Palahniuk's new book titled Snuff:

Yep. That's a Chuck Palahniuk book.
Mostly Penthouse.

I like all the peeing they tend to feature.

The story behind how Confederacy of Dunces got published is one of the most frustrating things I've ever heard.
Indeed.

Also frustrating: the more I read the book, the more I think that John Candy would have been the perfect Ignatius. He's who I imagine when I'm reading.

Mountains of text books...

when I have free time, I'm catching up on manga (Comic Yuri Hime, Straberry Panic, Strawberry Shake Sweet, and Kuchibiru Tameiki Sakurairo)

Recently, I read Soon I Will Be Invincible, and am trying to track down the Earthsea books so I can read them.

In other words, I try to read whatever I can get my grubby little hands on.

Right now I am reading The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, by Junot Diaz. It's a must read for all comic book fans, as there are tons of references that just fly by the average reader without them noticing. There was even a three-part Newsarama interview with the author last year, which I'll track down after I finish the novel.

I finished I Am Legend.

It was very good. Fast-paced and just damn compelling.

Now reading Bret Easton Ellis' Glamorama.

The only other book of his I read was American Psycho, which I found offensive, moving, annoying, dreadful, poignant, depressing, monotonous, hilarious and lovable all at once.

Ellis has a very specific 'repetitive' voice and style, but I like him anyway.
