Upcoming Ultimate Spider-Man arcs

^^i can agree with that, the carnage arc wasnt perfect, but the story was solid although it had an awkward beginning. The pay off (the last 3 issues) are what really made the story.....the first 3 could have all been featured in 1 issue....padding just to make tpb REALLY bothers me these days...but oh well.

venom is probably not in warriors...his return would be all over the internet months before it even occured. I for one, would have spoiled everyone with that information had it been true. You have a better chance of seeing ultimate nova in warriors than venom.

I thought Carnage, for the most part, accomplished a lot. I think this was one of the title's strongest arcs. Conners was a really great character, Peter is actually maturing and using this to his advantage, and schemeing is taking place with Ben Reilly that I don't think many expected out of him. Carnage, while not one of the high lights of that arc, did what he was there for... To wrap up loose ends with Peter's father potentially inventing the wheel, so to speak.

I agree. Carnage was a terrible ultimization but he served his purpose and he was light enough to not be the center of the arc with all the other stuff going on that you mentioned. I also said before that I gave it a second read through and thought it was a lot better the second time.

Its time once again, for the captain to dust off another old thread...

As many of you know, if this next arc tanks, ill be done collecting USM in single issues if not all together. Weve seen ult moon knight in costume and in all his glory...and looking down the road, i wondering if in the deadpool/silver sable arc, does anyone see a significant costume change?

I mean, Deadpool has a pretty standard costume, not much to ultimize, kinda like punisher and daredevil and spideys costume, not much need for modifications ya know?

i dont really see costume changes for these characters maybe little belts added here and there type thing. ok is silver sable/deadpool before or after mysterio because im VERY excited for mysterio he's one of my fav spidey villians but i relli want to know wat happened with parkers parents (supposedly the base of the sable/deadpool arc)

Deadpool's costume serves a purpose, considering he's hideously scarred. But it does need to be changed because its flourescent red spandex.

Not that I've read the Carnage arc, but I'm under the impression that it works on a similar level as many many many other stories Bendis has done in his post-Caliber Press career.

When Bendis sets out to tell a story, he's often written his villains into them for a purely utilitarian purpose rather than trying to develop them as full fledged characters. He does this to Leapfrog in Daredevil: Wake Up, he does this to Retro Girl's killer in the first Powers arc and he does this to several of his Ultimate Spider-Man villains as well, most notably the Impostor from Public Scrutiny.

My perception of Bendis is that as much as he gains fame for his dialogue, his most consistent trait is the functionalist approach he has towards using established characters and that's not always a bad thing.

If anyone read "Deapool: Agent of Weapon X", i'd expect something more along the lines of that.

Less of a costume, something more militaristic. But I do think he'll have the mask.

(for those who dont know his WX costume is basically the inverse of his regular one, with more weaponstraps and more practical pants.)

Also, its not bright red.

maroon 5

No Daredevil wears a Maroonish colored costume. Deadpool's is pretty red.

i agree that its generally intended to be maroon in the ult universe, but it really depends on whose coloring it...the darker the mood, the more maroon-like appearance the costume will have.

1-3 introduces the "warriors" and 4-7 brings them together in a "gang war" (my theory)

which is probably correct, and or the whole thing will be called warriors overall....kinda like the vol 8 tpb, called cats and kings, even though neither parts were called cats and kings

True, but then wouldn't it be Gang War, Part 1, as opposed to it going from Warriors, Part 3 to Gang War, Part 4?

Perhaps it's going to be like Cats and Kings/the Enforcers where it was one big arc, but could be disected into three issues a piece.

the right to bare arms

When is Peter gonna get six arms?

ISSUE 100

taken straight off the bendis board from a new updated post....
so the theory of fury trying to take away the powers and recreating the whole 616 six arms story is right here infront of us...that is unless bendis is joking....the issue will be double sized from what i understand as well, more coming soon..
