Also, just watched Dracula Untold. So I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that Vlad the Impaler was the OG Dracula that all others are named after?
I always assumed that they all just took on the Dracula name without any prior knowledge of each other

That's an... interesting direction for a sequel.
More... comedic which with horror can go wrong - as much as I enjoy the latter Elm Streets I can tell it was going in a direction that made it lose something y'know? Chucky had the same issue - and yet Halloween decided to just go completely insane and was even WORSE for it.
