MJ GOBLIN IS GONE! MJ GOBLIN IS GONE! When Jessica was pulling that really white, really clean sheet over her, where did it come from? They're in the middle of the dingy laboratory.
I really like Jessica Drew. She's a cool character and I love the way she's drawn--she really does look like a sister of Peter. I liked the truck scene. She almost makes up for Tarantula the Teenage Werewolf. For crap's sake, he had fangs and pointed ears!
Another freak-out from Peter this issue, but his comment to Tarantula, about how the "Oh my God"s can come later, makes me think that Peter's going to get over the nervous breakdown he's been having and start kicking ***. Preferably starting with Doc Ock--and why is Ock there with Reed and Fury? I bet he (Ock) drove his "son" crazy on purpose.
The way Cassandra Webb was drawn made me think she might be someone Peter's met before in disguise. She has wig-like hair and very chunky sunglasses and a mole--all the kind of thing you might wear if you wanted to distract people from noticing who you really are.
One last thing--the clones seemed really familiar for people who saw each other for five seconds, talked all over each other and then ran away. Jessica was asking about Scorpion and the first thing she did in Oscorp was haul Tarantula out of MJ Goblin's way. I guess it must be their shared experiences and memories.
