How would you rate Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?

This movie really does fall apart with logic to it but it has charisma and looks pretty.

Wolverine and Star Trek are the same, but for some reason Wolverine I hated, probably cause I'm more familiar with Wolverine stories then the other two.

I think it's a little harsh to lump Star Trek in with Wolverine. Sure it has a few things here and there that don't make complete sense, but it works as a whole. I'm talking about Star Trek btw. Hopefully I will finally see this tomorrow.

It's a summer popcorn flick based on a toyline. That's just going to have plot holes and Lack of logic in it. The best way to watch these type of movies is to just sit back, turn off your brain and just enjoy.

I know but it's stuff that could easily make sense.

I felt the plot line was pretty good, the main problem that made it have less sense is the pacing. A lot of things happen right after another, you blink you miss an important plot point. Though I will say the movie handles that pacing pretty well considering all the stuff crammed in.

It just occured to me why they made the Fallen a Jedi.

They couldn't portray him as on fire all the time because this is a Bay film. Everything gets exploded or set on fire at some point, so they were worried that it wouldn't look as impressive as it should be.

So they made him a Jedi instead of portraying him as constantly on fire as a mark of his betrayal of the other Transformers.

Still kind of disappointing.

I approve of Soundwave as a satellite though.

Saw this tonight, I mostly enjoyed it. The new Autobots were cool but they were criminally underused, Optimus was a total badass, and I totally geeked at Soundwave, Ravage, the Constructicons, Jetfire, and Starscream's interactions with Megatron (I was imitating Soundwave the whole way home).

However, Skids and Mudflap were ****ing stupid. Why couldn't they stay at NEST and Sideswipe and Arcee or Jolt go with Sam and co.?

Because Hasbro needs to sell toys.Children buy toys.Children like silly characters. So the main plot must contain a lot of cute yellow robots with big guns, and 2 childish robots that they can like.

For bigger children like us.Hasbro has Sideswipe, only sideswipe. The coolest autobot in the shape of a concept corvette is all we need. And their formula works very well I must admit.

Now I have a Bumblebee toy because my little brother loves Bumblebee (and I love the Camaro 2010), and I have a Sideswipe because I really loved the looks of the concept Corvette, and robot mode is badass.Aand I wanted a sideswipe toy even months before the movie was released...

Good job for Hasbro...

I'd argue that kids like the cooler toys better than the silly ones, I my younger self would have. To use a Thundercats analogy: Why buy Snarf when you could have Panthero (unless you were completing a collection)?

Agreed, but I think they wanted to have lighter, more comedic relief robots given some of the intense action. Still sucks to shaft the better characters for them

so i have absolutely no intention of seeing this because I hated the first one so much.

Shai LeBoufe annoyed me so much my ears started bleeding. it wasn't pretty.

I think if the Witwicki family wasn't so painful to watch i would have enjoyed about the same as i enjoyed Wolverine...nothing mind-blowing but cool action and a pretty girl.

but every time Shai or his 'parents' opened their mouth i cringed.

but the mountain dew transformer was cool

I've said it once and I'll say it again: lots of screentime for the humans is a nessacary evil for a live-action Transformers film. Expecially with the sheer scale of the Transformers CGI.

I approve of Soundwave as a satellite though.

Agreed.

That said, the best quality Transformers-related work this decade is still Transformers Animated.

Amalgams of comic and movie versions of Optimus and Megs. I don't like the Optimus Prime mouthpiece in the movie.

I watched this today. Here are my opinions :

Pros
- "Punk-*** Decepticon" loved the line and while a bit out of character it was awesome.
- The fights looked cool
- Megatron and Starscream was brilliant this time around
- Sound wave. While against him been a satellite after seeing it it worked well.
- Seeing John Turturro back and as a hero was cool
- Bumblebee was useful

Cons
- Human/Deceptacon girl. WTF?
- Sam going to robot heaven seemed retarded
- Complete butchering and wasting of the fallen.
- Waste of devastator
- The autobot twins. Annoying

Overall I'll say i'll give it 3 stars. Because as a fan it had enough for me to be happy. However as a movie it was pretty bad IMO. The first one was good, this was a bitter disappointment in comparison

I think this one didn't have the charm the first one did - possibly because Spielberg wasn't as involved on the second as he was on the first. I definitely agree that this one is a lot weaker than the first, while the average movie viewers at my cinema seemed to think it was "1000 times better."

Oh, those silly humans.

Hey, maybe these films are all a propaganda campaign by Soundwave or something.

I liked the second one better all around, just because there was more focus on the Transformers

I really hated the "PUNKASS DECEPTICON!" line. That was a roll-eye moment.

Soundwave as a satellite is awesome. Just like Megs transforming into a gun, Soundwave transforming into a tape recorder would just be ridiculous in the movies (not that these movies don't have their share of ridiculous moments).

John Turturro was awesome, and him working in his mom's deli and being obsessed with aliens was awesome.

"Human" Transformers are nothing new really. Pretenders were introduced in other media a long time ago.

Skids and Mudflap were pretty annoying, but the animation looks so beautiful. Their car forms are cool.

I liked the introduction of the Matrix. And the history of the Transformers. Even though it made the timeline even more confusing and contradictory.

It was which was good but this time more time seemed spent on effects than making sure story gelled right.

Yes and Megatron turned into a giant dragon once. However film wise it doesn't fit and seems silly..

No excuse. They were annoying regardless of been pretty effects
