How would you rate Transformers?

Oh, and I think it would have been more emotional if Bumblebee had died instead of Jazz. We've spent most of the movie getting to know Bumblebee. So when Megatron is chasing Sam, Bumblebee jumps in the way as a distraction, and Megatron should just rip him to pieces. This motivates Sam to kill Megatron with the cube.

Don't worry, Jazz didn't die. But anyway, the creators didn't want to "kill" Bumblebee because he was such a big part of the movie, and they didn't want to "kill" Optimus again... so they said they went with the third most likable Autobot, Jazz.

I can imagine a scene near the beginning of the movie where a fleet of jets bomb a military base...

Starscream better be returning with Skywarp and Thundercracker. And SOUNDWAVE!

Good movie, better than expected. A bit cheesy with the whole nerd dates populare girl thing, but it worked fine for this movie. Effects were crazy, story was okay.

4/6

Which was stupid because when he was fighting he actually had that guard go over his nose and mouth. Why not just have him wear it all the time?

I did agree on Primes face guard, but the mouth kinda grew on me, I see why they did it, you can get much more emotion that way, and seeing as he was the main transformer on film that was important.

Why did the robots need to have fangs?
To look scary of course

I'm kinda disapointed that Doom didnt like this cause his is one of the few opinions that matter on this board. But still think it was a highly entertaining movie, I walked out of that theater wanting to see it again. It wasn't perfect but I feel some people just expect too much of every movie they see, Bay did what he set out to do, make a fun and entertaining film.

I really want to see this again, but I think the more times I'll see it, the less I'll enjoy it. I'm conflicted.

Boy, I guess I really need to see this movie. It's breaking Box Office records left and right and most of you seem to be going gaga over it. Hopefully this weekend, after seeing Potter in IMAX 3-D. (Too many films this Summer!!!!)

You gave it a three already.

This from the guy who gave Spider-Man 3 an A+ before he even saw it.

I did see it , opening night.

He knows things.

And has utter faith in my movie-ranking abilities.

 Yes but still .... I've not seen Ratatouille , from trailers and stuff it looks like another Pixar film so I don't care but I wont give it any rating until I actually see it when dvd comes out.

It was well worth the hype.

Very, very entertaining.

- The special effects were magnificent. Hollywood may never be able to make a human being on a computer that doesn't look like video game character, but when you have a movie starring giant transforming robots, you get to really see what CGI can do in terms of convincing you that what you're seeing is real.

- I now get why everyone seems to have a man-crush on Shia Labouf. He was hilarious, and radiates a kind of charisma that says that he has a long career ahead of him.

- I was so relieved to see that the Transformers actually had personalities. Through all the ridiculous action scenes, my favorite part of the movie still might of been the scene where the Autobots are trying to hide out in the backyard. The only problem is that the Decepticons were just totally ignored. Megatron was portrayed as a fairly one-note villain (I swear he said "I AM MEGATRON!!!" three times) and the others didn't have even a hint of a personality. Starscream had like, one line.

It was pretty fun. I only gave it a four though because I'd imagine that it may not hold up to repeated viewings. But based off of this first time seeing it, it's totally kickass.

I can't wait to see what they bust out for the sequels. I wanna see Grimlock show up and Starscream needs to have a bigger role.

I'm already thinking of how they could update Soundwave: I have no idea what they'd have him transform into, but I'm thinking that in that in robot form he could basically function like a giant MP3 player. I can clearly imagine him appearing in a scene and blasting a sound at such a super high frequency that it destroy buildings and whatnot, with the characters later figuring out that the sounds are actually downloaded songs. Jokes about Soundwave killing you with a Fergie song ensue.

Megatron has to come back as Galvatron and he needs to transform into a gun. But not necessarily a handheld gun, more like an enormous, mounted, city destroying cannon. Like when the robot from FLCL would turn into a big phallic gun.

I could predict that they might kill off Optimus at the end of the next one and then bring him back in the third movie.

Oh, and they need Unicron.

BCUZ UNICRON PWNZ U!

Uhh, I can't see Galvatron being a gun... he needs to be a laser cannon like in G1... or some kind of mass death machine.

That's because getting human skin to look real is about the hardest thing to do, Gollum in LotR is the best there has ever been with that

My brother and I were talking about that, how he will be one of those great actors in hollywood

That's what sequels are for, but atleast Scarscream's line showed who he is and his relationship Megatron perfectly.

That is a great idea, I was just thinking of having him transform into an alien communication tower for instant long range communications

I liked him as an alien jet, but his gun pissed me off. in the movie he put his hands together, they should of had it come out the side of one arm to be more like the original.

I'd rather not have that death retcon thing

**** yeah!

Now I've been thinking about the sequel and here's my idea. First we have the Autobots making a base in a mountain that is dubbed The Ark. For the Autobot refugees to hang out, kick back and what not. They've been helping the government with technological know how, like making energon from a somewhat common ore, which is very abundant on Earth. Sam has become the official ambassador to friendly Cybertronic life forms.

Now for the Decepticons. Starscream is gathering his forces under his commander, many a ready to seek vengeance for the capture and death of Megatron. On Earth Soundwave pressures Starscream to retrieve the body of Megatron, a Submarine decepticon gets him and they discover that though the allspark trashed his circuits his sparks is still alive in stasis lock, with extensive work he is back online. Now I don't see a reason why he should be called Galvatron other than homage to the original. I say keep it Megatron; just change the design a little to the gun I mentioned earlier.

Now for the plot I'm not sure what to add to the high stakes so it would basically the decepticons getting revenge and wanting Earth to be their first planet to concur. While the government is trying to keep the whole alien robots a secret as battles start all around the world. And the Autobots trying to find their place in this new world. This film will explore more about who the transformers are and less on the human element.

I would save Unicorn for the third climatic movie.
