Thor series discussion [Straczynski/Olivier Coipel; spoilers]

Re: Thor series discussion (SPOILERS).

I mean it only makes sense that the big villain be a female. As everyone knows....women ARE, in fact, evil.

So.....you know......duh.

Re: Thor series discussion (SPOILERS).

It is truly a hardcore series

Blood Collosus

I never thought that the Mechagorgon would be topped

and the art is fricking spectacular

Seriously hardcore. I have been reading Thor for a LONG time and I have never seen mjolnir dripping with blood and a ruthless Thor like this.

Plus how do you not love that Thor is seriously bad a** and he keeps a roomful of hot Asgardian concubines.

I like this Thor.

Re: Thor series discussion (SPOILERS).

Thor #10. Balder is another of Odin's children. That guy gets around. Female Loki continues to manipulate everyone into some sort of strange endgame... and she scares a child. Coipel's art is still magnificent.

Re: Thor series discussion (SPOILERS).

what can i say about this series that hasn't been said already?

also Balder's new vestments are awesome

Re: Thor series discussion [spoilers]

Thor 600

IGN said:
Starting this January, replacing what would normally be issue #13, the title will jump to the number 600, reflecting the total number of Thor-centric books (between Journey into Mystery and Thor/Mighty Thor) Marvel Comics has published since the character's creation in 1962. The series will continue on with this new numbering for the foreseeable future (#601 and so on).

This has me excited for what this means to the story, but the cover is what I love...

Re: Thor series discussion [spoilers]

I hate it when they mix up the numbering like this.

I like this better. It was idiotic to get away from the original numbering in the first place. If getting back to it means hiccups in the numbering system that are hard to follow, I'm fine with it. I wish they would do it for Captain America and any other book that got away from it.

Re: Thor series discussion [spoilers]

Thor talked to the spirit of Steve Rogers and then took out media satellites for sixty seconds in memory of Captain America. It's supposedly one year after he died. Does this work with what Bendis said happened six months ago in New Avengers?

I tend to go by the timeline's set by good books

Thor is right, NA is wrong

Re: Thor series discussion [spoilers]

Exciting. I like this comic a lot because it's really the only epic fantasy comic published by either of the big two.

I know. The tone of this book, superhero/modern mythology, is unique among what's currently being published. I love it.
