The Pixar Thread

I will be taking my kids to see this - they LOVE Toy Story.

This was a short for Up that presumably never got fully animated, so it wasn't included on the DVD. Shame. Thank you, Pixar, for putting i on Youtube.

I've just had a massive Pixar marathon over the past day.

Seriously...there is no better film company. Each year this company only puts out one film, and that film is easily in the Top 5 films of the year. I love all their films (some more than others).

Toy Story, Bug's Life, Toy Story 2 -- Really entertaining, but of all Pixar's films, I find their first 3 to be the hardest to watch. Not really sure why? They're solid films, sure....but every time I watch them I can't help but feel like I could be doing or watching something better with my time. But then I remember that I'm watching Pixar and nothing else I pick will be as good. 6.5/10

Monsters, Inc. -- The first Pixar film I fell in love with. From the heartwarming story to the visually stunning graphics and details. The facial expressions of Boo and the way she acts like a real toddler all the way to the realistic, natural flow of Sulley's fur. 7.5/10

Finding Nemo -- If for nothing else, I love the Pixar's effects. One of my most favorite places on Earth is the Baltimore Aquarium. So when I watch Finding Nemo I marvel at the attention to detail of the ocean life. I could leave it on the DVD menu and watch the ocean life on repeat all day. 7/5

Incredibles -- Hands down the BEST superhero movie you'll see! It is everything you could want in superhero story. Of course it wouldn't be possible to have The Incredibles without The Fantastic Four......too bad Fantastic Four couldn't have been as great. 9/10

Cars -- My favorite Pixar film. The moral of the story is my favorite of all the Pixar stories. "Don't take life to serious." And the voice acting of Owen Wilson is absolutely perfect. Nobody else could've played that role. And to get Paul Newman too!?!?! **** me! It's the only Pixar film that I actually begin to tear up at. And that one scene where McQueen sees the entire desert valley.......I WANT TO LIVE THERE! 10/10

Ratatouille -- Patton Oswalt is amazing....too bad upon repeated viewing, the film tends to lose it's luster. Not sure why? :? 7/10

Wall-E -- Holy ****! The best film Pixar has ever made. Sure it might not be everyone's favorite...but it's definitely the best they've made. It's brilliance is in it's simplicity. 9.5/10

Up -- It was a great film. But I've only seen it once. Not sure if I wanna say it's a favorite as, despite all the funny and entertaining stuff, I found it pretty depressing from all the tragedy of the main character. 7.5/10

Toy Story 3 -- I'm hoping that it's better than the first 2 films. I'll be pretty disappointed if we've had to wait over a decade and it's just mediocre....especially when I know Pixar has more original stuff they could've done. N/A

It's in all of them, actually, but it's impossible for the human eye to spot it in The Incredibles as it goes by way too fast. Yeah, can't believe you didn't know that, I've been looking out for the Pizza Planet truck since Nemo!

According to Ice's link's source
What some people think is the truck in The Incredibles is actually just a yellow car. This film is the only one in which the truck does not appear.

Pixar jumps the shark

What the **** is this ****.

Awesome! I loved Cars and if Planes is as good I'll be be happy
