The new Spider-Man cartoon to air on the CW.

You actually have a link to that?

Not off hand, it was on a message board.

Kingpin works well as a villain for both.

They're both Street heroes, he's the king of all the street level villains.
It works.

Irrelevant, the you sell franchises to media companies, not individual characters, WB is making this Spidey cartoon and Fox owns the right to DD and Kingpin is part of the DD franchise not Spidey, that's why the media rights to kingpin belong to Fox.

I'm personally loving it.

Geeky Gwen is the most adorable thing, ever.

Just watched the first two episodes. Not bad at all.

I especially liked that Electro was minding his own business (or at least trying to) until Spidey showed up and started the fight.

Just watched the first two. Really good stuff.

I'm sick to DEATH of the protagonist-oblivious-to-awesome-friend-girl-being-in-love-with-him-because-he's-infatuated-with-the-cheerleader thing, especially after already seeing it in the teen superhero format with Smallville.

What I really hope is that on this show, just for once, he ends up with Gwen. I'd be perfectly happy with them not even bringing Mary Jane in. String him along with Liz for a while or something, have Black Cat show up and act out the Spidey 2 movie game, but for the love of God, have Gwen end up being the main love interest of the show. Forget that she died in the comics and just do your own thing.

Anyway, it was all pretty good. I liked the animation and character styles a lot more than on The Batman, they seem to have found a good balance. Peter is done perfectly and the action scenes are excellent.

Finally - "Actually, being grounded might not be so bad right now" =:lol::lol:

God i hope nothing happens to gwen.:(

I think something would happen. Look, she's missing her right hand already in the pic!

I like that they geekified all of Peter's friends. Interesting to see a nerdy Harry Osborn after all the suave, ladies-man, cool-looking Harry that has been depicted in the movie, Ultimate and the MTV version. Reminds me too much of Jimmy Olsen though.

I also like their Gwen. I have a feeling they will end up with Peter but for how long before MJ shows up. I doubt they'll kill her though. If this was the MTV cartoon I'll be more worried, but in this series highly doubtful.

I personally think this is better than the MTV cartoon. The MTV cartoon was trying to hard to be "cool", they did not even include Aunt May in the cast because of something as lame as that. I was amazed how many characters they actually introduced in the first episode without compromising the story.

Three eps in, and I'm sold.

The Lizard was awesome. I love that there's show-to-show continuity!

Despite the Lizard / Spider-Man subway battle being basically the Doc Ock / Spidey battle on the train from Spider-Man 2, I thought this was the best episode so far.

But after seeing the preview for next week, I'm kind of wondering why they're doing the Shocker next. He's a little too much like Electro for them to be doing him so soon after Max Dillon's ep.

I really hate getting up this early to watch the show, though. :)
