Maybe they thought they had enough of that in Animal Man and Swamp Thing? It is an interesting idea though.

I don think I realized it before you said it here but I think you're right. It's one of the problems I had with Blackest Night.

I wouldn't mind an alternate interpretation of Aquaman but it just seemed like he was trying to do a horror thing and falling flat, at least with the first story. And Blackest Night absolutely struck me as a failed attempt at superhero horror.

The main problem is, he's trying to tell this hyper-defensive story about "Hey guys! Aquaman REALLY IS COOL!" but he doesn't offer anything that distinguishes Aquaman from any other superhero.

Who's gonna be on the jsa? Is it classic members or are they mixing things up? Who else thinks its stupid that power girl and huntress are the new "world's finest"?

Actually the two of them make total sense. You get the Kryptonian/Caped Crusader combination everyone wants but with two characters that are already extremely popular with the fanbase. Power Girl and Huntress are about the best transitionary group for an Earth 2 JSA.

And on the roster wise. It's DC so they're going to do the classic JSA lineup without any changeups so they don't piss off the Golden Age diciples in the company.

The new cover to Earth-2.

This seems to suggest Earth 2 will be more akin to what Robinson wanted to do with his Justice League run than a typical JSA series. hm...

And they're fighting Daemonites, so maybe the first arc is about a Darkseid invasion, parallel to the JLA arc, to show the differences between Earth-2 and Earth-1?

Hello folks. First post and all that. Woot! Anyway, thought I'd share the cover to Worlds' Finest #1 here as it's not been posted yet.

Interesting that Power Girl's costume is so different. Maybe DC wanted a more PC look for her? :D Either way, I'm really looking forward to both this and Earth-2.

Yeah it looks like they're going with a Kryptonian look for her.

Also the Earth 2 versions of Kara and Helena appear to explicitly be Supergirl and Robin all grown up. Neat.

So, I'm surprised no one's talking more about Deadman. I thought it was one of the better stories in the relaunch from writing down to art, and I'm a little disappointed it's not continuing.

What's the deal with pandora (the red chic surrounded by red lightning in the last issue of flashpoint)? In flashpoint 5 of 5 she is in front of 5 different universes but never showed up again. There is an article on ign.com that shows you that she was secretly hidden in every #1 in the new 52. I checked to see if they photo shopped her in and and all my issues had her in the exact place she was shown on the website. I think she will the main villian in a huge crossover event by next year.

I really, really don't want a huge crossover event in the new 52. They're the reson I stopped reading a lot of comics in the first place.

Crossovers are my favorites. it would be nice if they came less often though so when they do show up it'd be more exciting...

Thanks! ^_^

I've been reading him in Justice League Dark, but I'm sorry to say I'm dropping the book with issue #5 (end of the first arc). I really don't like the new characterisations of Madame Xanadu and Zatanna - two of my favourite PC characters - and just wasn't interested in reading this take on them. However, the solicits for #9 say Jeff Lamire (spelling?) will be taking over, so I'll check that out digitally.

Justice League Dark is still a far sight better than the main Justice League title, but I agree it's nothing special. It sits right in the middle of the pack as something I could take or leave. I'll probably keep up with it long enough to see how Lemire does. Big fan of his stuff.

You're missing out by not picking up the Deadman run in DC Comics Presents though. It's a world better than JLD.

See, what i heard about Presents was anything but good. If Comixology go another 99c sale and it's part of it I might check it out. While I do enjoy Deadman, given the negative reports of that title I'v heard - apart from yours - I'm not keep to take that risk.

Those people are wrong. Dead wrong.

Seriously, it's one of the top five best titles of the relaunch. Real talk.

I think that's Zombipanda's way of saying he's being serious.

I enjoyed it as well myself. When I found them, the problem for me was actually finding them.

My first post so hello everybody.
Since I don't believe in comics continuity anymore this DC reboot for me is just another way they try to do to turn new something very old.
My first picks were Batman (best of the line), Action Comics (didn't dig it yet), Justice League (old Marvel's heroes meet/fight each other/then fight together to the villain of choice), Green Lantern (interesting), Batman: The Dark Knight and Batwoman (both titles yet to be read). Also digitally I purchased Swamp Thing (much better than expected), Flash (nice but not a big thing), Superman (plain boring), Aquaman (nice attempt but far from goal) and Animal Man (reading soon). If you have any recommendations please let me know.

DC Comics Presents: Deadman!

Also, you're doing yourself a real disservice if you don't pick up Wonder Woman.
