He wants to see the whale, correct, but his boat was destroyed five years ago on the island I thought.

He's not a fighter, as he thinks the whale will only recognize his hair do and he doesn't want to lose his hair.

Now, he just got shot, electrified, though a zombie and into a brick wall. His hair is going to be goine.

He's riding with the Strawhats for awhile at least.

You can argue till you are blue in the face, but I'm betting he's on for the ride.

And I hated Usopp, found him annoying as all hell, then he went and became cool when he challenged Luffy and almost beat him for the crew and ship

Well it's just that so far everyone has had very different abilities, it seems kind of pointless to have a less skilled swordsman than Zoro (hell, Brooke hasn't even won a fight against a moderately strong enemy like everyone else). I guess you could argue that he'll be better once he gets his shadow back, but as for the musician thing: he hasn't done anything musically related yet. At best I see him being a temporary member, or maybe joining up waaay later in the story.
 
Anyone else read Claymore?

Pretty generic when it started, but now it's one of the most compelling reads I've had in awhile. The writer is not afraid to kill anyone in this series, at all, even the main character. I'm scared to see how her traveling companion fared after the seven years absence.

Miria is the cutest of all the Claymores

I tried once but the first couple of chapters didn't really do anything for me, so I stopped.
