Well, I think it's obvious that Spider-Man loves Mary Jane in a platonic way. After all, Mary Jane is one of Peter Parker's best friends. Not that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, that would just be silly. But yes, Spidey, as the thankless defender of NYC, loves everyone on that little island, even darling old JJJ. But he especially loves Mary Jane, enough to share an apartment with her, but most certainly not have sex with her. Or get married and have a child that gets kidnapped by Norman Osborn and completely forgotten about before aborting it with help from a Satanic stand-in, because that would just be silly.

i've read it since I posted that and I really do like it. But I think it's fair to say that it doesn't SEEM like it would appeal to men. It was written for a young girl demographic.
