What would be the point of the eventual reveal?
The kid was dead, and is now alive...
I would guess that he looks a little worse for wear, perhaps even partially skeletal.
Perhaps one of the Giant God thingies are wearing his skin and bones, but he's still deteriorating.
The fact is that Alex was one of the reasons I kept reading this title, and the book has been missing its best voice since he turned traitor.
I hope its him, because it should be him.
Who else knows what the Pride is? Who else would go through the trouble of trying to pull everything together so that only he and a few others would survive.
I'm guessing its Alex, or maybe Alex's cousin or brother.
Because if a new pride just started up again off the street, it wouldn't have a grudge against the Runaways. It would just let them burn.
Whoever it is, he needs a connection to the original pride, and there were only two black people in the original pride!
It's not a matter of political correctness, its a matter of what makes sense to the plot.
Keep in mind that people who first picked this up at Runaways vol2 #1 will still get the same "Holy Crap!" when Alex comes back, because they won't have been expecting it. We have the knowledge to put it all together, and we did, good for us.
It'll still be an interesting read.
