Pet-Peeve Thread 4: More peeve than you can handle.

New peeve for me. When you join a paid service for anything file hosting to anything else. And straight afterwards the damn site crashes. It's happened before and now I again. I've paid to join Rapidshare to get some files. Right after I have given them my money I click to get a file I wanted and I'm greeted with :
Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred: ""

Not saying it's their fault or done on purpose but god ****ing damn it's annoying. Imagine if real businesses did this. E.g Burger King. You pay for your meal then they turn around say "thank you, we are now closed due to food poisoning" or something.

:arrgh::arrgh::arrgh::furious:

New peeve : Second Life.

It's so god damn addictive. I spent from 4pm - 11pm on it today and few hours yesterday morning. I'm hooked and i'm peeved that I'm hooked.

I wrote about it for work once, and did it so well they gave me a bonus.

It's basically the matrix, like a mmorpg but you have a lot of freedom to upload things and interact creatively, etc..

Yeah, Even more impressive is when you think it's all user created content when you see the detail on some buildings ect...

I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
Second Life is an internet thing where you make a little avatar of yourself and run around a big fake world talking to other people who've made funny little avatars of themselves. You can also buy fake stuff with real money to improve your experience.

My teacher made us join it for a class last semester. I was on it for exactly 20 minutes to get the requirement out of the way and haven't so much as looked at it since. mole seems to enjoy it, but I had no interest.

Ugh, that sounds about as fun as twitter.

Second Life - It's like real life, if you didn't suck so hard.
