Avengers Mighty Avengers Series Discussion **SPOILERS**

Just so you know this means your into people who say surgically change their gender. Because Ultron is a masculine robot now pocessing a males body and changed it into female.

A biological male getting a sex change wouldn't alter his genetic make-up. No matter what he does to his body, he'll always be a man. But Ultron is an "it." It has no gender, it's a construct of metal and circuitry. Ultron can look like anything it wants, but it'll always be an "it."
Think of a toy robot that moves and talks. It sounds like a boy, it looks like a boy... but you recycle it and it gets turned into a female robot dog. Does that mean it's a male robot dog? Nope, it's a female robot dog.

And if you think about it, a drawing can also be anything you want it to be... just look at Ronin. Looked like a man, but it was a woman wearing a muscle-suit. But it could had just as easily been DareDevil or Apocalypse.

Your opiniofact is opiniononsense. You must accept that you aren't allowed an opinion that isn't the same as mine. This is the internet after all.

Repent or I shall have the Technological Singularity turn you into a calculator.

Ok...so maybe not so much.

I agree that the idea of thought bubbles was a touch weird in #1 but I could look past it. But in #2 they were just plain distracting. And did I really need to know that Ares thinks he could have his way with Wasp?

Nay I say unto thee.

So yeah....while #1 wasn't without it's faults, it was still enjoyable to read. This one...not so much.

It appears this might not be such a stretch.

I admit that I was wrong. I wanna see thought bubbles like America wants to see Stiltman The Movie.

The art is still pretty. I'd like to have Bendis/Cho combo back on NA.

It was ok, but the thought bubbles are overused and overrated. Only Spiderman can pull that off imo. I enjoyed Janets reaction to Ultron and seriously doubt Tony's dead.

This entire storyline could be compressed into ONE ISSUE OF MARVEL ADVENTURES.

Think about it: the goofy gags, the random team lineup (WTF are you still doing there, Black Widow? Go away before Ultron melts your ***!), the big fight scenes... give Ultron clothes, remove references to Civil War and ****ty Bendis dialogue, and this could be an issue or two of Marvel Adventures Avengers.

What irks me most is that I'll probably continue to read this. Because despite is way apparrent flaws....it was still fun.

I think it has a large part to do with the art.

It didn't dawn on me until lunch today but I'm gonna go home and reread #1-2. I think I might've misunderstood what Bendis was trying to do here and I wanna make sure I'm getting what he's trying to convey.

It's not a deep theory....but it's still just a thought. What if Bendis is using the thought bubbles to portray the vast differences the heroes put forth. Carol might be spitting out orders...but in her mind she's scared ****less. Thus trying to humanize. Plus if he's trying to do that....the thougt boxes might take up too much room on the panels.

I think this all might be a formatting issue. If you place narration/thought boxes in the corners like most of the comics do...you tend to read those first. And if Bendis is trying to convey multiple inner thoughts at key times.....you can't use narration boxes because the flow is all off.

It's just a thought and not many people could care less due to the current status quo believing this book to be tripe. But if what I'm thinking is true....then it changes how I viewed #1 and 2.

I think that's exactly what they're there for. They show us every character's inner thoughts instead of just having one narrater at a time telling us how they're feeling. You get an immediate reaction to what the character thinks versus how the character acts.

Plus, a lot of them are just freaking funny.

There's one I didn't like though. Some character, I forget who, has a thought balloon that just says "Um." That was stupid, I grant you.

JLA does it better with the colored boxes.
