Hopefully "The End" is "The End of Dan Slott writing Spider-Man Forever."

Yes please. I haven't fully enjoyed Spider-Man since after Brand New Day started. The writing just hasn't been that good (outside of Mark Waid) since JMS left.

I'm sure some are going to be new series, but others I think will be "jumping on points".

They all have the number one behind them (hard to see unless you highlight them) which could indicate they're ALL new number ones....... but it seems unlikely to me that Marvel would launch that many books at once. Possibly some of them are one-shots are minis given the #1 designation as jumping on points for new readers?

We still haven't seen a tease for Hopeless' Avengers Arena follow-up. I'd be surprised if that isn't part of the next wave.

Marvel also has the 1 on an Avengers issue and that's not going to be a #1, but a start to a new arc, a new "jumping on point" for fans. The X-Men/GotG crossover will be between the two comics, so that won't be a new #1 series either.

Erm...

Unless it's one-shots that ties in to the ongoings and launches the events?

Unless there's something formally announced I haven't heard yet, I haven't heard anything to suggest the format of those two teases have been revealed.

It's not like such a thing is unprecedented, as in, like, within the last month. Battle of the Atom had a #1 and then continued through the ongoings.

Well, I'm going by what Bendis already revealed a long time ago throughout many articles and Tumblr.

I honestly don't know the situation here. What did he say?

Bookends for events are a tradition with X-events going back years and years, with a number one and number two (or Alpha and Omega or whatever silly designation they choose) launching and ending stories that are otherwise contained crossovers. It certainly doesn't undermine Bendis saying the series will be contained to an X-Men/GotG crossover.

Similarly, a one shot under the title of say, "Global Avengers" or "Avengers: Global Initiative" would be a good way for Marvel to have their cake and eat it too. A one-off that sets the new direction for the Avengers line (primarily the Hickman books) could draw in new readers without having to have yet another Avengers relaunch.
