Marvel Rivals Timeline/Reading Order

There's something I'm struggling to understand
How is Karn still alive in this if he died years ago

For the new gallery card the march reference is because the game was announced almost a year ago, with the marvel rivals YouTube page saying the first trailer was released on March 27th.

Ultron as the villain of the Hellfire Gala? Odd choice to put the Avengers' nemesis as the big bad of an X-Men focused season but I guess they can't use Magneto since he was part of the starting roster, still would have expected someone like Apocalypse or Mr. Sinister instead. Once we have the Hero Stories for the season as well as the Gallery Cards I will make a streamlined Season 2 order but the characters we can put in first. (Bare in mind these are just stories that directly link to the plot of the season, in this case Krakoa)
  1. Storm: Dreamy Dew
  2. Wolverine: Accompanied Envoy
  3. Magik: Limbo Border
  4. Magneto: Trial of Magneto
  5. Team-Up: Metallic Chaos
  6. Psylocke: Acanti Tales
  7. Team-Up: Dimensional Shortcut
  8. Namor: Atlantis Strikes Out

Current takeaways:

• Unmf Emma is so bad. Full weight of that wagon on my neck pronto, lemme worry about the breathing part

• New Hellfire Gala skins for Captain America, Black Widow, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch(?), Star-Lord, and Cloak and Dagger

• Banner in a suit suggests a Joe Fixit Hulk skin, new Luna Snow skin from the upcoming Ignite Rivals tie-in comic, Patch skin for Logan, X-Uniforms for Psylocke and Magik, and a Luʻau skin for Rocket

• Doom 2099 being here follows up on Season 1's "Plans Within Plans" Gallery Card that ended with him going "Doom has a gala to attend"

• "To me, my X-Men" ✍️

• Always love seeing Ultron aura farm

Currently placing this trailer after either Midnight Features/Collectible or the Cosmic Quest Gallery Card

VERY cool, cant wait to see how the story goes and how the new characters play like. But where is Blade, with the way the story is going, they should add blade give him a lore story about the eternal night and what he was doing and got caught etc, then they should move on and round off that storyline. either way that storyline is still sort of complete but if he gets added in season 3 and they bring it up then, then why not earlier. Anyway, this new season looks sick and I cant wait to see how the game and story changes going forward.

Also, Loki and Doom 2099 lurking together could be a hint at the future

Yea I was hoping for Blade but on the other hand I didn't want another Duelist

Watching the new Dev Vision and they're adding new teams ups and adjusting/removing old ones

We've seen a glimpse at this with Fastball Special changing and getting a new description, which I let supplant the OG description since it directly added things instead of removing them, but how should we go about treating new descriptions?

There's a possibility that the new descriptions acknowledge people leaving (Psylocke, Bucky, Namor) but if it's not acknowledged and the descriptions are different should that have any bearing on the timeline? Something like the Dimensional Shortcut one's placement is based on the Psylocke aspect of it.

I'm currently thinking about including both versions of each team-up if it's acknowledged as changing/has a notably different story and if it's the same but without the other character then I'll treat it as still being the same entry.

With that being said I'm going to re-add the Pre-Thing Fastball Special and put it just before the new one

Personally I think that if their descriptions change and add/remove the characters/lore then it could be good to place it as a part 2. (e.g. fastball special part 1 and with the thing fastball special part 2) or something like that, but tbh if it changes the description but only adds to it (no characters change then keep it is the new and improved one). I think for the namor added to gamma charge, they might change it to link with the new season, so would need a part 2, whereas the thing fastball special just adds to the pre-existing description without adding any events and just new dialogue, so could just be kept the same as the updated version. We will have to see what they add and delete from these descriptions.

Fair enough, it does make sense but I feel like it will be harder to incorporate him in the lore when he is added later on, but then again they managed to have ultron and hellfire gala in the same season so we will see
