I would say it's more the fans that have been hyping it up. The only thing we got in an actual project is the building was sold in Homecoming. And since then fans have been the ones speculating it to be a big deal in their heads. And TBH, Val buying it while creating her own "Avengers" team is more than just some random person.

Why isnt every part of the Infinity Saga and Multiverse Saga listed?
Projects like X-Men 97 and YFNSM aren't sacred timeline but they're still listed as past of the MCU Multiverse Saga on Disney+.
Same with Team Thor, it's not sacred timeline but it's still listed as part of the MCU Infinity Saga.

Because while they're not related to the Sacred Timeline, they're done by Marvel Studios. So the Saga sections seem to be where they cover everything produced by Marvel Studios.
This is actually partly something I did want to bring up when I had time to actually edit it. As of right now my intention is still to add YFNSM. However Disney+ is treating it like Team Thor and X-Men '97 and not placing it on the timeline despite being part of the franchise. I just wanted to give an opportunity for anyone who is maybe having second thoughts on it being included here especially since the nature of the series changed since its original announcement as part of the MCU. Just wanted to open that to the floor
On why they aren't added for Team Thor it's because they're comedic shorts intended as bonus features and not necessarily part of the MCU like the other one-shots. However if the majority of users would like this changed then it's something I'd be willing to add.
For X-Men '97 while Disney+ does include it in the Multiverse Saga to my knowledge nothing else from Marvel has acknowledged the series as part of the MCU franchise and even then the show itself has nothing to do with the MCU outside of sharing a Multiverse and Marvel Studios so it would make little sense including it without including the other various animated shows and quite frankly even if the majority of users wanted to add X-Men '97 I ain't taking the time to add the other various 90s cartoons to the timeline.
Personally I myself watch it with the Multiverse Saga, not because I see it as part of the MCU narrative but because it's just awesome, more of an honorary inclusion.

Except it's not the Marvel Studios Infinity Saga/Multiverse Saga. It's the MCU Infinity Saga/Multiverse Saga.

You wouldn't add the other 90s cartoons, it's the same thing as Deadpool and Wolverine. The timeline doesn't have the other FoX-Men movies nor should it.
But Deadpool & Wolverine, unlike X-Men '97, has been created as part of the MCU franchise.

But X-Men 97 is a part of the MCU franchise, it's listed as a part of the MCU Multiverse Saga. So even if it doesn't tie into the narrative, not yet at least, it's still apart of the MCU franchise.
On Disney+ yes. To my knowledge, nothing from Marvel has said it's part of the MCU as a franchise

Why do we need anything more than Disney+?
And Marvel Studios is looking at those projects as part of their multiverse, which is why they're included in the Multiverse Saga.

The MCU franchise featured elements from the main MCU countless times, yet including a show that predated the MCU by almost two decades and not synergizing it with the rest of the universe is crazy

i mean WHiH News exists in X-Men '97 and a Storm that "casually" looks like TAS Storm was featured in What If? Season 3. But I mean you do you guys.
Because at no point during the shows production, promotion or release has anything stated as far as I am aware that it is part of the MCU and if it was intended to be so that would've been more clear than a selection on a streaming service grouping in a Marvel Studios show with the other Marvel Studios shows. I'm sorry it'll take more than a technicality to get it added to this timeline.

not necessary, the 616 comics had some changes reflecting the MCU designs, but doesn't mean that the 616 comics are apart of the MCU Franchaise, like the Assemble cartoon or the Guardians of the Galaxy Cartoon, they even have the events of the movie as canon in their universe.
