Marvel Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Part 3)

My personal opinion is if Disney + leaves it off their timeline, we shouldn't add it here (Marvel Television shows excluded) so What-If and D&W are fine, X-Men 97 and YFNSM aren't. Having said that, I'm fine if the majority did want to add them on here.

on that I just took a look and can confirm it. Disney+ places X-Men '97 and YFNSM on the multiverse saga section, and not on the timeline. Kinda like the Team Thor shorts.

Yeah, I noticed that too, which is why I assume that while they see them under the same multiverse, they don't see them as part of the timeline.

oh then i'll start. So if i'm the one making the timeline, I would probably add for completition, kinda like the TVA comics.

But following this timeline set of rules, which is based on the timeline book and the DIsney+ timeline i would probably do this:

Place them on the viewing order, but not on the timeline.

speaking of witch going off topic, i would change the placement on the viewing order, as for now we have YFNSM before Civil War, so ik it's probably set before the actual Civil War, but IMO i'm more comfortable to watch it after watching the actual civil war from Captain America. So i would put YFNSM (as where to watch it) as after civil war at least (another suitable placement would be after Loki Season 1, but that placement is better for a multiversal thread, rather than this one).

That's not entirely accurate tho. They don't take place in a temporal limbo they take place in their own universes within times. That's not really a placeholder spot, the Temporal Limbo is a place certain events happen in outside of time. And there was discussion on earlier X-Men '97 not really even really being considered MCU canon, only Disney+ has grouped it in with the Multiverse Saga but nothing else has ever supported that. If we opened this up to everything that was even considered MCU Continuity since the Multiverse Saga this would be too large for anyone to accurately tackle.

I think he meant like a whole new section BELOW that like [Alternate Timelines], not saying it's part of Temporal Limbo.

Even still the Temporal Limbo would be for things outside of time. These universes would be in a place in time, and if they would be better fitting for an aside area like the Temporal Limbo then imo that speaks for how fitting they are for being in this timeline.

Yeah I understood that but that's not the place for it. If it's outside of time it's in the Temporal Limbo. If it's inside of time they'd be in the timeline where they happen with an indication of the universe like for What If. The debate wasn't for where they should go, but if they belong in those places at all.

I guess I could of worded that better, I don't mean put Team Thor, X-Men 97, and YFNSM inside the "Spoiler: Temporal Limbo" section. I meant make a new section beneath "Spoiler: Temporal Limbo". Not sure what you'd call it, maybe "Spoiler: MCU AU" or something like that.

It just feels so incomplete not to include every corner of the MCU.
