Very interesting. So it seems the Ant-Man Prelude will take place sometime between 1961 and 1989... doesn't narrow it down much, as we knew it would occur sometime during the Cold War. I'm sure the issues themselves will provide a more specific year placement.

The Avengers - Age of Ultron: Cinematic Infinite Prelude also will apparently take place sometime before Captain America - The Winter Soldier (and after the first Avengers film), since it focuses on how Strucker obtained Loki's staff.

The only adaptation so far that offered a new scene not seen in the film itself was the Iron Man 2 adaptation, as noted in the article. So far, none of the other adaptations have featured new scenes or dialogue that I've noticed. I'll be sitting down and checking out the two recently released Avengers adaptation issues, and breaking those up and inserting the pages into the film entries. I'll see if there's anything new in that one, but I doubt it.

And while the adaptations are largely just repetitive of what's seen in the films, they are canon so I include them in the timeline.

I think there's a panel or two in issue #1 of I Am Iron Man with Sitwell and Fury that's not in the film.

Is it just me or are the adaptations like reading a really crappy version of the movie? I can't help but wonder how it reads if you haven't seen the film.

Pretty much. Trying to cram the events of the films into only two issues is a problem also. Not saying that four issues would make for a significantly better adaptation, but it would offer more opportunity to include more of those character moments that help people connect with the characters when watching the films.

I don't know, I never really saw the point of the adaptations.

DESPITE "AGENT CARTER" RATINGS SLIP, MORE MARVEL TV IN THE WORKS

"We have ambitions for Marvel in the future," Lee added. "We love Marvel."

Perhaps most interestingly, that hint at his commitment to Marvel TV opens the door for a continued ambitious slate in the future. Whether that means a continuation of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Agent Carter" or a new project entirely is yet to be seen.

Netflix Releases Info On Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, & Defenders A.K.A. Jessica Jones begins filming in February, on track for its end-of-the-year release, despite there being a rumor it was being thought of getting pushed into 2016.

I knew AKA Jessica Jones would air this year, for several reasons.

One, it was originally said Daredevil and JJ would likely air in 2015, Iron Fist and Luke Cage in 2016, and the Defenders in 2017. Given that there were no reported production delays, I never thought the rumor of AKA JJ in 2016 held much water.

Also, with Netflix's success with original programming (Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, etc), and all the money that's bringing in with new customers, it makes perfect sense to expand their original programming schedule, as they're obviously doing. But Daredevil and the other shows are something of a phenomenal addition to Netflix's existing lineup, and I will be incredibly surprised if Daredevil doesn't break records for them in terms of new subscriptions (given the huge fanbase of the MCU films--granted that doesn't automatically translate into those fans also watching the shows, but the buzz around Daredevil is huge compared to AoS or Agent Carter).

And finally, by releasing two shows per year, it allows them to reduce the interim between seasons. A long 3-4 year wait between Season 1 and Season 2 of each show will be pretty brutal, and will also be tough for the actors cast in the roles (since they need to leave their schedule open for an undetermined amount of time in an undetermined amount of years to return to the roles). I have a feeling that if Daredevil and Jessica Jones are both successful, we may see an accelerated production schedule for Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and The Defenders. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see Daredevil Season 2 by the end of 2017 (instead of 2018 or 2019).

It all depends on the reception and ratings the shows get.

I just realized what Captain America: Civil War might be going after financially. Marvel Studios has been trying to make Robert Downey Jr. and Iron Man not be their #1 for a while now and I just remembered how huge the Anti-Iron Man push was after Civil War (both in comics and in real life). This is going to be really interesting. Especially if it follows how Iron Man was in EVERY SINGLE COMIC EVER.

I'm sort of afraid for the Jessica Jones show. All of the movies so far have been pretty PG/PG-13. Jessica Jones is going to be a lot darker and I'm not sure if I'll like it at all.

Oh man, I'm in the opposite tent. I want Alias, BMB/Brubaker/Miller/Waid Daredevil, I want Fraction/Brubaker Iron Fist, and I want Alias Luke Cage (not Luke Cage MAX though). I'm sure there'll still be plenty of heart and humor. Just it will go more serious at times.

I'm okay with most of that, it's just the flashbacks to Purpleman messing with the women in Alias were hard enough to see in drawing. I don't know about a TV show.
