Lost *spoilers*

So we find out who's Sun's baby's daddy in this episode. Supposedly there are three possibilites: Jin (obviously), that guy Sun slept with not long before the crash (the bald Asian guy...can't remember his name), and a third possibility.

As for the third candidate, I thought it could be Michael, but then I remember he wouldn't be coming back this season, and therefore didn't film any flashback portions for any episodes...so it can't be him.

I think the baby's dad is TOG. Poor kid will come out with one of his eyes in his neck and a flipper on his head.

Patch is alive!

I don't like that last revelation, them being dead seems a little predictable. But Locke is back next episode  and wants Sawyer to kill Ben

I was surprised at that.

We don't know for sure if they're dead or not. She could be lying, or just delusional. After all, the producers have already said it wasn't Purgatory and that they were indeed still alive. Could have been a lie/red herring on their part. We'll see.

They're not dead... We know that the island is a reality through Juliet, who arrived on the island three years prior to the plane crashing.

Wow, though. What an episode.

There's a lot going on all at once...

Jin's the daddy. I was glad to hear that... But also sad that Sun may have to go in two months. Hopefully, we'll see a conclusion to the show before we get another two months on the island. Sun shouldn't expect to stay on the island or be fine with the fact that Juliet still considers Sun an inhabitant of the island for that long...

Also, Patch. Wow. That got me more jazzed than the shocker at the end.

First, I want to be the first on this board to say this - that the commercial for next week's episode was editted in a way that we THOUGHT Locke was talking about Sawyer killing Ben BUT he was actually talking about his father, the real Sawyer.

And back to last night's episode...

Patch is alive because the fence is only actually defensive for the monster. I guess he was paralyzed or whatever just as a side effect. I didn't mind that he was alive again, either, unlike if someone died and came back in a comic...

I thought about the Others planting a plane for the outsid world to find, too. I don't think that the parachutist would have been planted by the Others, though - Ben most likely sent Mikhail to check the crash out. His mission was compromised, though, because Jin is the most badass person and kicked the ever-loving **** out of him. In the coming episodes, I'm sure we'll see much more of the Others... Anyone see that one promo shot they keep showing of a camp with loads of people? Their whole society will be exposed I bet.

Maybe the submarine sunk just off the island or something.

Who knows?

We may, we may not. As it stands now, each season roughly works out to about a month, island time (very rougly, actually, since the first season was 44-45 days, and the second only 22...this season so far has covered about 20-22 days so far as well, but will likely be around 30 by the time it finishes).

Sun shouldn't expect to stay on the island or be fine with the fact that Juliet still considers Sun an inhabitant of the island for that long...

Yeah...very strange. Wonder how thats going to be explained.

I have two theories about the end: She was planted by the Others to screw with them, or my dad's theory... the Others planted fake wreckage so no one would come looking and find the Island by accident.

I like both theories. I suspect the latter is more likely, though.

Actually, Naomi being another mole of the Others is by far the more likely choice.

It's clear that next week's episode will be the best of the season. I can already tell.

This was a decent episode. Since two months is almost an eternity on the Island, I don't think we'll see the story line with Sun resolved anytime soon. I was hoping we'd learn more about how the parachute woman knows who Desmond is and why it is she was sent to the Island.

I guarantee the Sun pregnancy/dying plot will be resolved in some form in Season 4.

We will next episode (according to summaries). After all, its hard to talk with a branch puncturing your lung.

But as Mikhail said, due to the island's healing properties, she'll be fine in a day or two. That works with when the next episode will pick up.

This is kind of bold speculation, but has anyone thought that Lost may do something really bold for the season finale like a 1-2 year jump? Since the entire show has only taken place over the course of about 90 days, that would be incredibly drastic but possibly genius too.

I really, really, really hope not. At the moment, we can relate because we've been along for the ride with them the whole time. We know everything that's happened, we've been through all the hardships and the revelations with them, etc. If it jumped forward, suddenly they'd be these hardened island-folk that have had it a lot harder than we have. I wouldn't be able to relate to them.

Also, that would completely ruin all the relationship politics. Do you think that 2 years from now Charlie and Claire would still be on the fringes of a relationship, and Sawyer and Kate would be still be "iffy". It just wouldn't work.

Edit: Not to mention that by that time, there'd would be NO excuse for Hurley not to have lost a few dozen pounds. Even now it's really pushing it.

It could work, but I find this tactic often alienates the viewers. Its often too big or drastic a change for your average viewer to swallow.

At this point in the series, I don't think we'll see anything like that...maybe next season, or even the season after (which will probably be the last).

The producers have said that they want to incorporate the tsunami of 2004 into the plot of the show. Since the tsunami occurred just after Christmas of 2004, the islanders are only about a week away (their time, of course) from seeing some major tidal waves crashing onto their beach.

This could be in reserve for next season (condensing the next 4 episodes into less than a week island time seems more than likely), or its possible it might even be part of the cliffhanger finale for this season.

But who knows...maybe there will be a minor or even major jump in time (months or even years) afterward...

I like the idea of the tsunami being integrated into the story, but I also like the idea that the island is somehow displaced from reality, and can only be found if you know where to look.
