Before I get into tonight's episode, I re-watched last week's... Mikhail said that he shared the same birthday as the Russian Olympian, Nadia. That makes his birthday Nov. 12, 1961. I don't know if this helps or means anything in terms of the timeline, but I thought it was interesting they would reveal SOMETHING about time.

ANYWAY...

Tonight's episode was pretty damn good. The tension now builds between Sayid and Locke, which I think is a great new dynamic. We'll probably see more of this next week... I have a feeling that next week's episode will be the one episode I've been waiting all season for... Locke is easily one of my favorite characters if not, deep down inside, my favorite.

Claire being Jack's half-sister gives an interesting dynamic to her, too. I didn't think they'd be able to squeeze an effective flashback outta her since they were using what happened to her on the island as a means to move her character forward but they managed to do it. Very cool. Now, all we've gotta do is reveal this to the two of them on the island and we'll be set.
 
So, my girlfriend had a pretty good idea. If you noticed, Sawyer was reading Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead in the montage toward the end of tonight's show. I haven't read it, but she has. And she says it's about a group of the world's geniuses in all areas (science, art, etc.) who decide to seclude themselves together as a group in some inaccessible secret location to live a simpler, purer life since they have given up on the rest of the world. Intriguing, no? Could it be...

that was obvious, the Others have data on all the survivors, after getting there names from Ethan. They merely knew he was paralyzed, and now wondering why he isn't.

Which means the Others don't know everything.

Anyone else find the fence stupid? For the simple reason its sonic vibrations. Merely run through the thing, you have enough momentum, you'll pass through it with a minor ear ache.

So, earlier, I posted that Mikhail's birthday was November 12, 1961, right? Last night, he revealed he was recruited to work for the Hostiles when he was 24, making it 1985 at that point. He revealed, also, that he had been on the island for 11 years... making it only 1996 according to him...

I can't believe I slept through last nights episode. Now I'm going to have to spend two bucks to download it off iTunes. I hate those people.

I share the birthday with Dr. Kelso on Scrubs, and with J. August Richards, but not the same year

Sharing a birthday and a birthday and year are two different things.

This is true, but I only followed that lead to perhaps find some clues... That may have supported the theory that the island is displaced in time, which was why I posted my idea, but I don't even know what to think about the make of the island, so...
 
Claire is teh hottest of Lost chicks. And goth Claire was very hot.


I like the brother-sister angle a lot. The thing that really annoys me is they won't know (if they ever know) for another 3 seasons.

Just because he started to work for the Hostel's doesn't nessecarily mean he went directly to the island

So as it turns out, she thought he was reading Atlas Shrugged, which is the book with the plot i mentioned, not The Fountainhead, which is what he was reading, which is literally a different story. So now she just thinks the clue was still apt, just a little vaguer than all that. I think it still makes sense, with just Ayn Rand being the clue.
 
That was a very good episode. Locke's going after the submarine... **** yes.
