Lost *spoilers*

Your one spoiler tag is off. And E for the love of god DO NOT hit quote and see what DIB put in spoilers.

Whoops!! Thanks for the heads up.

Sorry.

I avoided it - thanks. We watched the season 3 finale last night.

It was sad and amazing and one of my favorites.

Charlie's stupidity was driving me nuts but when he died I was really bummed.

And Jack's flash forward was awesome.

Actually we also watched the first 2 episodes of season 4 and saw a Hurley flash forward as well.

Also, I'm bummed because I accidently saw a spoiler that an upcoming episode is about Michael. I knew from seeing a clip that Walt appears in season 5 or 6 but I didn't want to know that Michael is back. That would've been a great surprise.

I have got to stop reading about this show.

Thats the Catch-22 of Lost. The show forces you to care about the characters and plot, there's a part that can't help but want to know. And given the ease of finding things out on the internet, forums, Lostpedia, etc, it can actually be damn difficult NOT being spoiled. Of course, its so much better watching it without spoilers, but they're so damn hard to avoid.

Season 4, Episode 2 is one of my five all-time favorite episodes of the series.

So, we just finished up season 4 and are about 4 or 5 episodes into season 5. The season 4 finale was incredible. And I was pretty proud of myself for figuring out that they would be moving the island through time rather than changing location, and that it was John Locke in the casket (the latter more of an educated guess, but still).

I'm baffled as to how fans of the show thought seasons 3 and 4 were not as good as the first 2. They were both fantastic.

I love the time jumping thing going on and seeing how things are coming together time-wise because of it.

Also - I'm happy to say that I am spoiler free at the moment. Michael coming back was the last thing I was spoiled on.

S3 and 4 were great but kind of annoying weekly - S3 had a lot of "off" episodes and S4 was cut short because of the writer's strike - but both are fantastic on DVD.

Season 3 was a huge let down for me cause of all the off episodes, like Jack's Tattoo and so forth. I also felt they began to pander to the fans, like the killing of the two new survivors cause everyone claimed not to like them. Thought that was cheap.

I started to watch season four, then the whole issue of traveling through time came up, and I threw up in my mouth. I decided that was it for me.

As I've said, those off episodes are nothing when watching on on DVD

Exactly

Actually they made that decision before the audience ever saw them. They were watching the edits and realising that the fans would not accept these characters and in fact they didn't like how they turned out. Nikie and Paulo's fate were decided before their first episode aired.

I didn't mind the characters of Nikki and Paolo at all, but their death episode is one of my favorites.

We are 7 episodes into season 5. I admit that the time traveling is throwing me off a little.

Well we just wrapped up season 5. We watched the first episode of season 6 last night. We're coming up on the end.

Overall the season 5 ending was underwhelming compared to the previous finales...except for The Man In Black/Smoke Monster impersonating John Locke! It's taking everything I have to not go and read all about this guy. That was an awesome revelation.

I was also a *little* disappointed with Juliet's death, although it was cool to get Sawyer and Jack back at each other's throats. Happy Sawyer was a little weird.

The sideways flashes are awesome. Can't wait to see if and how everything comes together.

Really I though season 5 had the best season finale so much action and emotion I loved it.

i wish they had combined the season 5 finale with the man in black's back story (which you'll eventually get in season 6) instead of the "Jacob touched them all" flash backs.

We just finished. We watched the series finale this evening as well as the New Man in Charge epilogue.

I totally loved it. Jack's death scene was amazing and went Vincent came and laid down next to him as he died...that was beautiful.

The scene with Christian in the church was fantastic and I loved the explanation for the sideways flashes.

Now I can FINALLY start digging through Lostpedia (I've been dying to do this) and link things up. We watched about 10-12 episodes over the last few weekends and without watching them during the week, so (especially with the time jumping) a lot of events are jumbled up in my head. It was definitely a lot easier to follow for the first 3 seasons or so.

Ah, yeah. We watched around 10-15 episodes for the last few weekends. My wife works nights so we didn't watch during the week, and those long breaks made it kind of hard to keep up when things started moving crazy fast around season 4-5.

A question for anyone who might know: when Desmond went back down to The Source with Jack, he told him that on the other side was happiness, etc. (I don't remember the exact line)....what was he talking about? It couldn't have been the afterlife...

The show goes surprisingly fast when watching on DVD specially on your first run because each episode leaves you hungry for more. Now E image you had to wait six years to see The End

I don't recall what he said exactly, he could be referring to the afterlife he experienced or the light itself. Which if you remember that last shot in the church the doors opened to a light. And if the "wine in the bottle" is evil/hell than the light should be happiness/heaven. So I think that's what he may have meant.

I'm glad you enjoyed the series. I was a bit teary eyed during the finale but that shot with Vincent push me closer to tears than any other tv show has.

I guess now that E's done I can post my version of the Lost timeline. Its basically what you'd see on Lostpedia, just broken down and simplified in the usual DIrishB way: ie, a column with the episodes listed in viewing order, a second column showing the on-island time (present time), a second column showing off-island time (flash-backs or forwards), and a third with the name of the character the episode focused on.

And it works the crappy novels, the mediocre video game, and all the Missing Pieces webisodes into it.
