Lost *spoilers*

Something I didn't realize before. I was looking at a list of "10 Obscure Facts About Watchmen" and came across this:

9. Bernard, an elderly newspaper vendor who appears throughout the graphic novel, was married to a woman named Rose before she passed away. On the television show Lost, Bernard and his wife Rose are two minor characters who crash on a mysterious deserted island after trying to find a cure for Rose's terminal illness. It is one of the few spoiler-free coincidences that link Watchmen and Lost.

I remember reading that before. It's pretty good, though I'm not sure if that was intended or not

I remember Lindelof admitting that Watchmen inspired much of the structure of Lost... And that is pretty evident in both the graphic novel and the television show itself. I think that's undeniable.

That is true, but I recall The actress who played Rose saying the whole cancer thing was based on her life. During the first season her husband was dying of cancer and she wanted to express that. Those details may be off but it was something along those lines. So it's tough to say since the a bunch of stuff going into the story than just one reference or source.

On one of the editions of Watchmen, Damon is quoted as saying that Watchmen is "The greatest piece of popular fiction ever produced"

I'm not surprised that LOST pays homage.

I mean, the reference given to John Locke by the character of the same name only goes so far, too.

So I finished season 4 of my Lost rewatch. I have to say I unintentionally watch the show along their dates. I started in September, the plane crashed in September. I even got to The Constant on Christmas eve.

All that's left is to watch season 5.

I've been watching Season 5 over again since I got it for Christmas. I have to say the first half of the season was sort of wasteful. They could've started at the point where Jack and Ben meet up with Eloise Hawking and it would've covered a lot more ground that would've been able to be explained more. Oh, well. Still good.

Also, the snip of that "fasten seatbelts" that you guys thought was the first of Season 6 is from the episode "Namaste"... Where Frank is seen landing the plane on Hydra island.

Jesus....5 seasons to catch up on?

That sounds so daunting. Well LOST is next on the list of TV shows to watch. I'm currently on Abrams' Alias.

It better be worth it.

hahahaha. I already know that I've won... I don't need a bottle sent to me in the mail, I just need the internet and another winner to upload the footage. Duh.

A source close to production, meanwhile, said that one easy "fix" to avoid the conflict would be to let Obama preempt the 8pm recap special, then air the two-part premiere as planned.
I don't even care if it premieres a half hour late, but I'll be damned if I have to wait another day

They have a pretty good catch-up deal on the DVDs if ya'll have it, too. Right before the first episode of Season 5.

And Obama might interfere with the debut, did you all hear that?
