Loeb/McGuinness' The Hulk (Discussion/Spoilers).

Also, Rulk is a red Hulk. That's it. The greatest Batman villain doesn't dress as an Owl or a Flying Squirrel. He dresses as a CLOWN. Please try to find me how Bat = Clown makes sense. Why is it that an archnemesis is the good guy with a different paint job? I can understand that being the case if this were a toy line in dire need of production cost cutting. Bat = Clown is not a logical option for a visual conflict and yet... I'm tired that Hulk's villains are gamma-irradiated monsters.
I don't mind the idea of making another hulk, like Red Hulk. Because Hulk, as we all know, can make a great villain. But unfortunately he's a hero and switching back and forth can be tiresome. So it would be cool to have both who never really interact with each other until both their stories reach an epic climax

But I completely agree, Heroes should be made to look like they can't do ****. There should be a back a forth struggle, rather than a pointless rampage so one character can look cool

I love flipping through this in the store. The art is some of the best I've seen, but the writing.....

*ucch*

It's the highlight of my trip to the LCS.... besides, y'know, picking up my actual pulls.

I would get this in trades if it were, oh I don't know, at a 75% discount, just so I could show it to friends so they could see how NOT to write a comic. Then, after they'd read it, I'd tell them it's from the same guy who writes all those "Heroes" episodes and I'd watch for their reactions.

Thing is Bass that She-Hulk isn't as strong as Hulk( or red Hulk by proxy) so she would need back up especially since Hulk needed A-bomb and Thor's help to beat Red. By the in the arc after this one the original defenders team up to fight Red Hulk's Offenders. I'm not making that up. Also, i thought Leader was Hulk's main baddie.

TERRAX

****

They finally made him awesome in the second Annihilation: Heralds of Galactus One-Shot and now they let Loeb have him

HE CUT A PLANET IN HALF

Also Loeb getting to use Baron Mordo when nobody is allowed to use Dr. Strange right now is bull****.

Why can`t this book just go away

Coming in Hulk #8 The REVENGERS, With Batroc the Leaper, Executioner, Titanium Man, The Leader, She-Ultron, and The real Hank Pym returned to earth deranged wanting to just get it over with and kill the Wasp already

Leader is gamma-irradiated.

Imagine if every Spidey villain was bitten by a radioactive animal, or if every Superman villain was an alien, or if every Batman villain was an orphan.

Also, I know Shulkie isn't as hard as Rulk (which is good) but I'd like to see her rise to the challenge, not just get whupped again. :/

...

This is madness.

THIS... IS... LOEB!!!!!

But they all have a theme.

Spider-man has alot of enemies with an animal type name or power and Batman has mentally insane villains.

This is true, but Hulk fighting villains themed as "monsters" is different to Hulk fighting "gamma-irradiated foes". Spidey's villains share the "animal" theme (for the most part) but they don't share the same ORIGIN. Hulk's all do.

For example - Hulk could fight the following monsters: Werewolves, Vampires, Elementals, oh, and GODZILLA.

Instead he fights gamma-irradiated guys. It's kinda boring.

Wasn't there a Hulk vs. Fin Fang Foom one shot that was supposed to be 30 pages of the two fighting in a city? Was that any good?

I thought the theme was radiation in genral.(like the U-Foes aren't gamma radiated but they are radiated).

He does fight monsters though.

he has fough Wendigos, Aliens and Frankenstein and Some of his villains are god like too.

Yeah, it was just recently that Jeff Parker (?) wrote a Frankenstein's Monster vs. Hulk oneshot. I plan on picking it up when I can.

I remember this Hulk villain called the Shaper of Worlds, who was basically a Skrull Cosmic Cube, and teamed up with the Joker for that Batman/Hulk comic crossover.

You'd think they'd have brought him back for Secret Invasion, but noooooooooooo...

I remember Shaper of Worlds!

And Korvac!

MARVEL ZOMBIES UNITE! *pew pew pew*
