Introducing The Daily Weird

I think him shouting "Where's my money" to Dr. Doom of all people kills the realism in the scene.

Yeah, that was a weird comic man. Doom had hired Cage for something the previous issue or so and then renegged. So Cage borrows a ship from the FF and goes to Latveria to get his money from Doom. While there he prevents an uprising that started in the obscure Doom solo series in Astonishing Tales.

Here's Joe Casey and Matt Fraction talking about the issue:

More proof that Matt Fraction and Joe Casey will someday run this industry.

Yeah, into the ground.

I can't stand Joe Casey, honestly. We used to chat before he became a comic writer, when he was just some guy that knew James Robinson. He does good stuff every now and then, but he's just so freaking pretentious it's ridiculous.

He doesn't work at all on mainstream stuff, but I've really enjoyed his more independent work. Of course I'm selling everything I have that he wrote, so what do I know?

The only Fraction I've read is his Marvel work, which I believe I've read all of. I like it.

Casanova is really good in a In Like Flint meets Crystal Meth way. Last of the Independents was pretty good too. Obviously Rockford Files inspired. Five Fists Of Science was great. The Annotated Mantooth wasn't nearly as good, but it was his first published work. And had a giant talking gorilla Spy/author/porn star. It has its charms.

That wasn't me. Mine hasn't been put through whatever magic process it goes through before getting posted.
