Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

Last night's episode felt like a cop out to me.
I was just talking about that with someone. Felt way too soon to break these guys up, even though I didn't think they made a great couple. We've only seen them have problems like in one other episode and now just boom. No more.

Though I did like Barney's "return" and yet another adventure to find a Robin video that she'd rather have kept away.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

Even though two week's ago episode came way too soon and "out of the blue," this past Monday's rocked, IMO. A classic HIMYM funny episode.

Also, Chris Elliot guest-star's in next Monday's Thanksgiving episode as Lily's dad, whom she has not spoken to in 3 years. Following week Joanna Garcia guest-stars as Ted's neighbor who has just broken up with a boyfriend.

But the best part is the guest-star that's appearing in HIMYM's 100th episode. Doom...I hope you got napkins nearby.

"Girls Versus Suits"

Ted gets to know Cindy (
Rachel Bilson
), one of his students who is close to his own age.

Oh yeah.

I knew exactly what was going to happen as the 4th slap built to its happening in that episode. And yet I still cried laughing as Marshall sent Barney spinning to the floor.

Me too!

I had a thought of maybe this would only be a tease of the 4th slap at first, though. The whole back-and-forth b/w Robin and Ted, then the transfers and all seemed like Barney would have been spared. :p

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

The moment Barney stood up and started shouting "this is the best thanksgiving...." You knew the next word out of Marshall's mouth would be

"THAT'S FOUR!!"

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

For Christmas I want the SLAP BET! Game!

It was great that they used Marshall's song as the jingle, too. Perfect.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

What another HIMYM fan posted on my Facebook page:

"There is some serious Mother action in episode 100," reveals executive producer Craig Thomas. "It'll be the closest Ted's ever come to [discovering who she is]. He's getting a step closer every episode this season, and episode 100 [we] kind of go bananas with it."

Also keep in mind that this is a musical episode, too. The episode is [currently] set to air sometime January 2010.

A think a musical would be cool. And I still think that the woman who plays Robin would make a good Lois Lane.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

Nice, I recently caught up with this season up till the last cigarette ever episode. Gotta say, I'm so glad Barney and Robin broke up. Though, I think the episode where Lily and Marshall are trying to find another couple to do things with is now in my top 10 of favorite episodes.

"Have you tried the Gouda?!"

Despite only watching a few episodes of this show, I am obsessed with Cobie Smulders.

She was apparently Joss Whedon's choice for Wonder Woman.

Carrie Underwood to guest star on "HIMYM"

Los Angeles Times
Singer Carrie Underwood is the latest to join the long list of romantic hopefuls on "How I Met Your Mother."

Underwood will make her acting debut on the CBS sitcom as a love interest for Ted (Josh Radnor), CBS confirmed. Her character, Tiffany, is an enigmatic pharmaceutical sales rep.

The episode is scheduled to air in March.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

So last night's 100th episode was great. They delivered on their promise about learning more on the mother- all with teases that were placed in the perfect spots and done nicely. I don't think they could have done a better job. We even got to see the mother's feet! Ted was in the same apartment/room! Awesome.

And of course we had Barney's musical moment at the end. Fantastic. It was hilarious and is a great song, too. NPH is a great singer.

She would be a pretty good Wonder Woman, but I wouldn't say she would be ideal. She doesn't seem intimidating enough...but I'd be fine with it if she was cast.

The 100th episode was good. Stacy Keibler (the bar tender) was hot. NPH was great. I really wish they would have Ted meet the mother. It is getting pretty ridiculous at this point, to the point where I'm losing interest in the show. How many seasons do they plan on teasing this thing? Finally showing the mother would be a good way to end the season.
