House of M series discussion (spoilers)

My theory:

Magneto of course manipulated her powers, so she could become a sapien in HoM, that way, he figures that no one can use her powers again to bring everything back to normal.

Or it's all a lie and she is still a reality warping mutant.

I hope Bendis explains how Magneto manipulated Wanda's powers. I don't know how he could unnless he told her what to create.

He's her dad, a powerful influence in her life, and in a time of mental instability I would buy that a powerful influence in your life could easily guide or manipulate you.

As for the issue, THINGS FINALY HAPPEN! Yay! I enjoyed this one. Layla seems kind of flat, but shes got another 4 issues to bloom in, and if rumors are true the X-Factor ongoing too.

I did love the bit at the end.

Emma Frost: We have to kill him
Wolverine: Yeah, I'm cool with that.

Did anyone read the Secrets of the House of M book? I didn't read this thread yet, this may be superfluous, but I read the entry on that new mutant Layla (Layla, right?) and it seems to me that if the character is unique to the HoM universe... Wanda has now created the instrument of her eventual downfall. She gave herself an Achilles' heel...

Possibly, and maybe unconsciously if she has anything to do with Xavier as has been theroized.

I know that. She really is still a mutant, just meant that he made her and the world think shes a human.

Question about the Pulse HoM tie-in: I collect The Pulse in trades (I just got Secret War, I'm almost finished) and I was just wondering if you think the third volume is going to include issue 10 as part of it? I hope they don't omit it and then make you buy some massive HoM HC including all the various tie-in issues cuz that would suck. :(

If not, you could just pick it up by itself...I believe it's only like 50 cents.

Good issue. Finally Layla is revealed.

Action was good during the getaway scene. I was really into the dialogue while they were putting the pieces together. The whole revealation to Emma was amazing and the three cloaked figures with Charles was awesome. Still loving the mini.

I wish I got more of a reaction out of Hawkeye when Logan told him he had died. Still skeptical on if he did die or not... but we'll see when HoM ends.

Thanks for the DD reference Bendis... jerk... now we know he's not just "Matt Murdock, She-Hulk's *****" but that he's still doing the vigilante thing. I want my Daredevil soon. Hopefully he joins up with them.

I also picked up the secrets of the HoM which will probably give us some cool insights like The Secret War standalone did...

Seems right, only; her kid/s have the ability to make things with his/their mind/s aka change reality. Therefore I think that her kid/s IS her power personified in House of M.

That'd explain why Mags wasn't thrilled/dissapointed to see what his grandchild just made him....

House of M #5 (Spoilers)

Okay, who else thinks the little girl is going to turn out to be Franklin Richards in the wrong body because he was never born in the House of M world...

She seems awfully powerful, and she did sort of come out of Nowhere.

I loved the scene with Peter and Logan.

I loved the bit with Logan and Mystique, and can't help but hope that post house of m they'll stay together...

And if Cap realizes that reality has changed, is he really still just the old guy?

And is the last page indicative of the Major Change to the post- HoM world?

I don't think she's Franklin Richards, mainly because early reports about the new X-Facotr ongoing said she was going to be a cast member, then that was changed over to a Mystery Member.

I dug the Peter-logan bit too. I bet Parker is one of the people to remember post-house. Having this near perfect life floating around in your head when you're as tourmented a person as Pete is would crush you.

I think Cap would still be just a really old guy. The house changed physicaly reformed him. All the skill in the world means nothing when you can break bones as easily as he would.

I'm still holding onto my Xavier based changes, instead of Magneto having done so. It would mkae sense in a martyr sort of way for him to be dead, if he's the only psycic powerful enough to direct Scarlet Witch's powers to reform the world.

So who else besides me like the little Marvel VS card treat? :D

Issue rocked. Very cool beginning, and loved it when Layla was "reminding" (for the lack of a better word) people. Laughed when Mystique slapped Logan. Too good.

The ending gave me goosebumps. No lie. Just seeing the page I was like, WO!

This mini rocks the hizaouz!
