Green Lantern series discussion (Spoilers!)

Hector Hammond seems one of the obvious choices for an orange ring.

I would like to see Black Adam offered a Red Ring or Superman a Blue Ring.

I really want to see Lobo sporting a yellow ring.

So who was that Blue Lantern? Anyone we know?

And this issue really didn't need the Final Crisis tag on it.

He's a new character. We shows up on that huge spread of all the corps in the final issue of the Sinestro Corps crossover. His name is Saint Walker, (which is a kickass name.)

Also, it might need the Final Crisis tag, depending on how big a role the Lanterns play in Final Crisis. Which is fairly large, from what we've seen.

I want Sinestro with a Green Ring in the final battle. I have decided that would be the most awesome thing that could happen...

OK, it's official. I want this now.

Just finished secret origin. That was real good, I especially liked the "untranslatable" everytime Hal swore. The scene with the guardians was awsome...especially when sinestro talks about ganthet.

What is happening with the whole Hal worked his ring on yellow thing? Is that early signs of parallax working his will on him?

I can't shake the suspicion that Johns' will somehow redeem sinestro by the end of this and make him the 7 ringed white lantern that this seems to be playing towards....tho that would be quite power ranger like.

I...can't take the Red Lanterns seriously.

I know, I wasn't expecting them to be as awesome as the Sinestro Corps, but the whole vomiting blood thing is just silly.

It's really my only complaint with the run so far.

Sinestro has magically become one of my favorite characters... Pretty much the last thing I ever expected to happen.

Geoff Johns is writing THE definitive Green Lantern. If they aren't consulting him for the movie, they are ****ing insane.

Agreed.

The Red Lantern's power is silly.

Meh. I think it is kind of cool. I don't think they all actually vomit the blood. If I remember correctly Laira (sp?) the ex-green lantern, uses her ring to spew red goo on Hal. I think it is better than having everyone make constructs with their rings. I imagine that would be kind of lame after a while. Like they all have the same power. This gives some differentiation, other than color that is.

AGREED!!!! Same with the Superman movie.

Agreed. I've liked the abilities of the other Lanterns we've seen thus far. Blue Lanterns powers are cool, and while the Star Sapphire's power is rather icky, what they want is actually pretty scary, and it makes sense with the characters history.

EDIT: Oddly, I would have no problem with the Red Lanterns if they breathed fire.

Also, I think Raven would make a great Indigo. She's an empath, you don't get more compassionate then that.

And someone should put Hatred and Greed from the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man(you know, those guys in the Rock of Eternity) on the candidate list for Red and Orange too.

.

I totally agree

I don't think those guys really need the rings? ...but then again i suppose the anti-monitor didn't anyway.

Jordan meets up with Ganthet as he recruits a new Blue Lantern who is basically a giant elephant. The three are then sent to rescue Sinestro from the Red Lanterns and on the way cure a dying sun. The Red Lanterns are going to make Sinestro pay by going after his daughter.

I like the Blue Lanterns. They have interesting designs.

Yeah i think this arc is already shaping out to be a good one.

I can not wait for the Blackest Night, if Sinestro Corps was anything to go by, this "mini series" will be just as good.

I read 36 this morning. Kinda annoyed that the blue lanterns are gonna try to recruit Hal, I mean he's THE green lantern, and with so much effort to get him there i know full well he's staying. So does everyone, apart from ganthet aparently. But ganthet knows Jordan revived the whole corps...does he really think he's got a chance of recruiting him??

Anyway apart from that i really love the blue lanterns, and the rejuvenation of the supernova sun was beautiful. I think it's interesting that they're appearing now at the same time as the red lanterns, kinda opposites i suppose.

I still haven't worked out how the star saphire is going to play into this, but the inclusion suggests to me the orange and purple ones might have turned up in some form by the end of this arc.

I was surprised to see Fatality as a Star Sapphire. I wonder what this means for her hatred of John Stewart.

I'm loving the Red Lanterns and the exchanges between Sinestro and Atrocious.

I think they have interesting powers. Turning a sun into a brand new sun. That is insanely powerful.

I really can't wait of In Blackest Night....
