Re: Dragon Ball movie
Yeah, yeah, I'm that desperate for attention. You know, as opposed to everyone else in this thread who have NOTHING but negativity for the film ("this is gonna suck", "he shouldn't be white", "that hairstyle looks terrible"), have already written it off as a failure/bad Power Rangers episode, declared again and again that they have no intention of seeing this film, yet continue to keep posting. Christ, shame on me and my thirst for the lime-light.
I like Dragonball. When I was little, I had the pleasure of watching it every Saturday morning in unedited, un-subtitled Japanese. It's just one of those fun, candy-floss memories I hold dear. Now they're making a movie based on it. Does it look like the best movie? No? Does it look like it'll be incredibly cheesy? Yes. Do I still want to see it? Yes. Do I think it has a very good chance of being entertaining? YES.
Picking on this film is like making fun of a kid who stutters or that poor bastard in a wheelchair still trying to participate in gym class. Asinine, sophomoric, and, really in a lot of ways, mean. Yeah, we get it. You think it's stupid, you think it's gonna suck, you think we're stupid. Cool. How about from now on you just pass notes back and forth in PM and let us live our sad little existence that includes a hope for this film.
So you're going to like it just because everyone else hates it? Are you that desperate to be noticed?
