Dexter Series Discussion *Spoilers*

Jordan knew that Dexter had taken a blood sample from his medallion so he knew he'd discover the identity of Emily. So he called her before they got there and told her what to do.

I've been wondering; no one has said how Lumen got involved. Just that she was drugged. Hrmm.

Why was it important to Jordan for Emily to tell the truth to Lumen, though? That struck me as odd. Jordan being the puppet master that he is is probably aiming for something to happen where Dexter is further emotionally scarred from what transpires out of Lumen than he was with Rita. Questions like why is Jordan so damn smart about certain things and what was the purpose of all the torture need to be answered. I know they will, but I am impatient.

I think we're supposed to be wondering "Why did Jordan want Emily to tell Lumen the truth?" We're not supposed to know yet.

I'm still convinced that hispanic cop is behind St Muerta.

I was also think that Lumen serves a different purpose, too. For Deb to understand her brother's murderous ways when she ends up finding out at the end of the season. Deb has said that she would want to hunt down the people that tortured her if she were one of the barrel girl victims so, when the truth comes out about Lumen, Deb will have sympathy for her... And by extension Dexter too for helping her out. What I'm pretty much saying is that Deb will find out about Dexter's murderous tendencies by season's end BUT she will not turn him in because she understands that sometimes killing someone is justice, too.

I also think that's where they're heading.

But then... I think Deb will find out every season. :arrgh:

THEY TOY WITH ME!

Great episode. Reminded me of that one episode of Breaking Bad where Walt and Jesse were inside of that RV and Hank was outside. I can't wait for the finale now... Previews seem to suggest
that Deb catches Dexter in the act of murdering Jordan Chase

Peter Weller deserved his own spin-off. Stan Liddy, P.I. or something.

I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW AAAAAAAAA I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN

 I agree!

It would consist entirely of him eating burgers and calling people "stupid ****ers."

We'll see. There was a preview where it looked like Deb and others caught Dexter as he was catching the dentist guy, but it was all edited to look as such.

Yea. Just like that episode we all thought Dex was getting shot by an actual gun and he just to a tranc to the chest.

The writers of this show are cowards.

Agreed.

My whole idea was that Jordan's way of winning the battle between himself, Dexter, and Lumen would be to expose Dexter and Lumen to the police. He was a master manipulator, but that didn't really come to light at the end. I do wish Deb would have found out, but noooo... The writers decide to go in the neat and clean direction, putting a bookend on this season. They know how to tease us, that's for sure...

But... that doesn't make any sense. If he exposed them to the police he'd be revealed as the guy who's raped and killed at least twelve women. It's the same every season; the big bad can't go to the police without getting himself arrested, and Dexter can't either.

Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter have filed for divorce.

I wonder if this will affect the show.

Regarding the finale; I really enjoyed it. I liked the ambiguity of Dexter possibly being able to get rid of his dark passenger, I liked how he saved Quinn and how Quinn knows that Dexter killed Liddy (I totally didn't see Quinn being framed for Liddy's murder coming), and I was on the edge of my seat when Debra came into the killing room. That said, it makes complete sense she'd do everything she could to not see the killers. This way she can say to herself, "I didn't see them, so I can't pursue them". From Debra's point of view, what she did makes perfect sense.

But, I want to see Debra find out Dexter is a killer some time. The next season should be interesting if only to see where the Quinn-Dexter relationship is going.
