(Defunct thread)

@selfishmisery. How would you feel about 2x09 as being November 2nd, due to it being the Mayoral Election Day in Smallville? Kansas City had a mayoral election on this date so it would fit. The only issue is it needs to be 30 days since 2x08. That episode ended on a school day and 30 days from the 2nd would be October 3rd (Sunday). I think a workaround is the end of 2x08 and the beginning of 2x09 being in the early hours of October 2nd (Saturday). The actual episode just mentions it's a month later and the 30 days come from the title, so I think it's close enough.

So:
2x08- October 1st-2nd (it isn't said exactly how much time has passed since 2x07 and I think a few days are possible. Also, Sarah mentions it's been a week since her party, Sunday-Friday is close enough).
2x09- October 2nd, October, November 2nd.

Edit: This actually works out perfectly. In 2x11, Lois tells Clark he was gone for 33 days. If you include October 2nd as Day 1 then Day 33 would be November 3rd. I have 2x11 as being November 2nd-3rd, a perfect fit.

works for me

Henry Miller's appearance in Season 3 episode 1 has to be after "April 12" because his birthday ("04/12/68") and age ("54") are seen on an arrest file in s3 ep 3.

Update on this
I also just now noticed what appears to be an April 2022 calendar on John Henry Iron's wall in tonight's episode...
I was counting by the calendar's number of days during the first week, and there was 3 (the 1st is on Thursday)....not 2, which is what made me think April 2022 because the 1st is on a Friday that year.

So this is some old calendar, and I guess I could throw out Henry Miller's appearance in Season 3 being in "April" or after "April 12" and just take his arrest record as rounding his age for the current year. :(

Well, the Open Mic Night in 2x12 tells us it's Wednesday. So, I'm just going to move things back a day and have the end of 2x08 and the beginning of 2x09 be late Friday night. I guess Smallville had their mayoral election on a Monday for some reason.

2x08- October 1st
2x09- October 1st, October, November 1st
2x10- November 1st
2x11- November 1st-2nd
2x12- November 2nd-4th

Ugh, it's aggravating how little thought goes into the Superman & Lois timeline. There's been a few mentions of the events of 1x15 being last year and 2x15 Clark mentions that Tal-Rho wanted to destroy the world "this time last year". The most time that can pass between 1x15 and 2x15 is 5 months. Season 2 begins with a 3-month jump to September and continues into October where there's then another 1-month jump into November. I think it's the same scenario as Season 1 where they think more time has passed than logically possible.

Anyway,
2x13- November 4th (The Open Mic Night (November 3rd) is said to be the night before).
2x14- November 5th (Clark tells Lara Lor-Van he lost his powers the night before).
2x15- November 5th (Picks up where 2x14 ended), November 8th (Miracle Monday scene, Lana mentions dealing with Armageddon during her first week as mayor. Further confirmation 2x09-2x15 are in the same week), November (scenes after Miracle Monday).

Henry Miller's appearance in Season 3 episode 1 has to be after "April 12" because his birthday ("04/12/68") and age ("54") are seen on an arrest file in s3 ep 3.
Yeah, 3x01 feels like it's meant to be around Summer given the weather, the kids not being in school, and it makes sense the school would do repairs when the kids are off. However, I don't see any way to jump the series to Spring/Summer. If Lois hadn't mentioned 27 days since "the world almost ended", it would have been a lot easier. I think the birthday is a happy accident of him being 54 matching when those episodes were filmed. Season 2 has to begin in the Fall and there's no way to stretch it to Spring/Summer. It just feels like there isn't any consistency.

Edit: Of course in 3x02, we cut away before Lois writes the date lol. Jordan mentions Liza texted him on his birthday "last week". Football Game on the TV fits with it being Fall/Winter. In 3x03 Lois mentions it's been "a few weeks" since she first saw the doctor and the kids in Metropolis happened "the other day". Given the December placement is putting it close to Christmas and there are no decorations or mention of the holidays, I'd like to find a workaround with Lois's mention of it being 27 days. That's the only thing really stopping a larger time jump.

Are you still basing the foundation of Season 2's placements on the Bizarro newspaper date?

My only other guess is that maybe there is a time jump between when Ally is arrested and the female DOD soldier breaks her out.

@Rman How does this work?

@Rman How does this work?
I had it start earlier in the month since most schools start in either late August/early September and Sarah coming back from Summer Camp, but I guess it can be moved up to the 24th if need be. 2x05 needs to be a Sunday rather than Saturday since the kids have school the next day, I put in a week time jump since Johnathan mentions he started taking XK a couple of weeks ago in 2x06 and it's said to be the day after 2x05. The urgency of Lois trying to get Clark out of DOD custody in 2x07 makes it feel like it's the day after. 2x08 can have a jump of like a few days, but Sarah mentions it's only been a week since her party, so I currently have it Friday of the week after to account for them being in school. 2x09 picks up exactly after 2x08 before the month time jump, so even if it were later in October it would still lead into November with the rest of the season playing out around that month.

I don't think the final scenes in 2x15 are on the same day as 3x01. Lois is writing her article that mentions the 27 days and those scenes are just a part of the montage of the characters between that time. I just have the 27th day starting with Lois writing her article and the ending of 2x15 as November.

Using your dates, it would be more:
2x01- September 24th
2x02- September 29th
2x03- September 30th
2x04- September 30th-October 1st
2x05- October 10th
2x06- October 10th-12th (Jordan was on XK for a couple of weeks starting in 2x04)
2x07- October 12th
2x08- October 15th (needs to be within a week of 2x05)
2x09- October 15th, October/November, November 15th
2x10- October 15th, October/November, November 15th
2x11- November 15th-16th
2x12- November 16th-18th (The second day needs to be a Wednesday)
2x13- November 18th (It's been a day since Wednesday)
2x14- November 19th (Clark lost his powers "last night")
2x15- November 19th, November 22nd (Miracle Monday), November/December

3x01- December 16th-18th (27 days since "the world almost ended")
3x02- Late December (The boys birthday was last week)
3x03- Late December/Early January (The kids were in Metropolis "the other day").

No problem. Im not a fan of the weather and lack of holiday decorations, but that's mainly due to them not paying attention to where they are in the timeline. If it weren't for that Lois's "27 days", it'd be much easier to say it's later than it is. At least it seems to be the same school year so far as S2. I'm fully expecting them to act like it's 2023 at some point though.

They mention spring break in Season 3 too...

Next episode has a Valentines Day Dance if you look at the hearts and specific letters in the background

With what I ended up with for S2, I was thinking around January so this is reassuring. Maybe we get a reference to how long its been since 3x04 and we can use that to work backward and find a good point to place a jump. 3x03 mentions it's been a few weeks since Lois saw the doctor in 3x01 so it's a good option.

Read a leaked transcript for the next episode, and it said that Candice stayed with them for 3 weeks.

I'm thinking:

3x01- December 16th-18th
3x02- Late December (events of Episode 1 were last week)
3x03- Mid-January (Lois met with the doctor "a few weeks ago", they mention the kids were in Metropolis "the other day", guess it can be stretched out to match the few weeks)
3x04- Late January (3 weeks prior would be the 24th)
3x05- Valentine's Day

My earlier post that used your starting date of September 24th ends you up here. The only issues are I'm not really a fan of school starting and Sarah's summer camp ending as late as September 24. There's also the weather and lack of holiday references around Smallville in the first couple of episodes of S3, but with 3x05 being Valentine's Day it does seem like this is where they're at. As I said, I was looking at September 10th, but I think it's easier to fit Valentine's Day with the 24th.

Here's the post you should use for reference:
