DC Extended Universe / DC Universe - Timeline

I'll be honest guys, I'm not putting too much into CC being "canon" (whatever Gunn means by that). I really feel like when James says "DCU" he's talking about the brand, not the in-universe timeline. Do you really think Batman's brief animated appearance will have ANY bearing on a live action casting?

Uh... Creature Commandos literally sets up Rick Flag in Superman (2025). Even if they did have Robert in the DCU, Creature Commandos would still be canon, the Batman cameo would just be retconned into him. Is this just because it's a cartoon or something?

in any case it's just a sihlouette, made cos they don't have the actor for batman, it was just done to tell us that Batman is already active and also the costume is Blue.

Also CC Is 100% canon.

James Gunn made it clear that DCU is the universe name and not a brand when he separated "Elseworlds" into a separate thing. Otherwise, Joker: Folie à Deux and The Penguin would have been "DCU".
