"Merging" is unconfirmed. Keaton could easily be visiting this Earth as a temporary Batman if something happened to Batfleck. There's no merging unless you really want to throw out AND give up on continuity completely. Not an easy fix.

Assuming that there is a timeline change, it is simply impossible for the DCEU to function if you replace the Synder movies with Keaton. Everything is too connected for that, and Harley just wouldn't exist. If it happened, Keaton realistically just travelled to the DCEU's new timeline, you would think.

Further, every film released so far is linked. If a new timeline happened, the only films to exist in the new history completely would be the Wonder Woman films... probably. You'd have to assume that the DCEU played out in a way that left characters roughly where they were prior to the timeline change, though they couldn't possibly have experienced the exact same events due to simple butterfly effect. Way too complicated, really.

To be honest, it feels redundant to change anything if you're keeping the cast and storylines going. Better to just continue as they have been.

I just found out about Ben Affleck through my cousin, in my opinion, I'm a little angry, because I know that the fact that he is no longer the Batman of the DCEU means that there is less probability of seeing the Snyder-Verse, it is not my favorite Batman, however I must admit that if he was the perfect Batman for the DCEU, I hope that Battinson or Batgirl can perfectly inherit Batman's legacy, since Batman is the first character I met from DC and one of my favorites, also, I hope the Bat-Family can grow even more even without a Bruce Wayne, I hope the actor has his reasons, I will never forget everything he gave us and did not give us, thanks Ben Affleck for these 7 years as the Bat Man, finally, I hope that at least Warner Brothers will make a perfect closure, and that in a single individual movie #MakeTheBatfleckMovie

Ben Affleck came back for us and himself for a final appearance in The Flash. Let's hope it's a good one!

For better or worse, Keaton looks to be the Bruce Wayne we'll be seeing in the DCEU future.

On a different note:
On the Synderverse, I can't see them making those films at this stage, but always thought DC could utilise animation to bring canceled film scripts to life. Hell, I bet Ben would come back for it.

If that happens, not gonna lie, I would give up on DC completely and these timelines would be someone else's problem.

I would be enraged in a way that would never be rivaled in my life.
 
Well, that's definitely not Drake Winston or Chris O'Donnell's Robin... super strange.

The DCEU could have had Affleck die/ retire/recast and have Cavil go to space while they work out a deal with him. Now, it looks like some really strange things might happen that makes following what should be relatively straightforward a headache.

I just hope that they do... whatever the hell they're trying to do in the cleanest, least dumb way possible... so no merging! And if theres a timeline change, make it make sense.

There's also the theory that Supergirl is Christopher Reeve's daughter. I guess that would make Superman 1-4 and Supergirl Earth-89? Bleh, why she wearing Cavils symbol then? But she does seem to be implied to be from Earth-89.

That's not Michael Keaton on the mural, but he is still on the DCEU Earth as a visitor in present day.

The old mural is just a old days Batman (Batfleck or whatever, but not Keaton since those universes don't merge)
