White Tiger? really?

cool, I've been waiting for someone to pick her up since her very decent mini

damn I miss having money for comics

I was avoiding the Lady Bullseye story because I was just kind of rolling my eyes at the idea of a "Lady Bullseye", but this is a great story. Matt and Dakota - whoa! Didn't see that one coming.

And now Black Tarantula and White Tiger have been killed and resurrected as members of The Hand - awesome.

I should have been reading this from the beginning of the arc.

You really should have.

I like Dakota hell of a lot more than Milla. I will be fine never to see her again.

Totally agreed. I liked Milla but her time has past. And using her parents to get rid of her is a great idea that leaves the possibility of her return down the road, if needed.

If this was X-Men they would have discovered that she is Foggy's half-sister born in an alternate universe just before she's killed off by a virus that targets her specific DNA. Then she'd be brought back next year.

:sure:

I haven't caught up yet. But I'm not going to bother comparing anymore women in this title. Milla was supposed to be part of the "breakdown" after Karen's death. Why does Matt need a woman at all points of his life?

Because he's a pimp.

So I'm going to my friend's show in the old city section of Philadelphia where I have another friend who lives with his girl. We go to my friend's apartment to pregame and I don't know how comics got involved in the conversation because my friends here aren't really into them... at all. Anyway, this guy just happens to say "Yeah, I have all the Daredevil comics from the 70's and 80's bagged and boarded".

Irony?

His apartment is pretty small and his girlfriend didn't even know about them. I geeked out.

I just read the last issue of the Lady Bullseye arc and I loved the whole story. I really like the idea of Matt and Dakota. There's a point in the first issue of the arc where he questions why it doesn't feel more wrong, and that's a cool way of putting it. There are some cool possibilities that can come of it, and I'm interested in seeing where Brubaker takes it.

Of course the bigger story was that Matt is being groomed to take over The Hand himself, which is crazy, and the implication (if I'm not reading too much into it) that Kingpin is either behind it or has some sort of part of it. That's right along with SHIELD being run by Hydra as far as what to think of something like that.

Great story. Probably a 4.5/5.

See...I thought that idea (or at least the implication) was pretty great....but then the story ended.

Granted, I haven't read the latest issue, but I was kinda disappointed that the Lady Bullseye story seems to have ended. I know Brubaker knows what he's doing............but damn.

This is the second review-type post in a row I've read of yours where you weren't hyped up. You're turning into a cynical old comic reader.

We already have a Proj.

Yeah, uh Lady Bullseye's is going to be around for the foreseeable future, think of Return of the King as Lady Bullseye part 2

You should know by now that Brubaker is not one of those guys that just shows his entire hand at the end of an arc. He's a slow burn writer, just stick with it.

I assume so. His Hell To Pay storyline encompassed 2 or 3 TPBs. It just seemed like with the ads for Kingpin returning it was like everything got dropped.

On that Joe Quesada Newsarama blog, he said something like:

the Hood is kicking some major tush and we have plans for a very unexpected villain in Daredevil's world, but this is way down the road and is a part of Andy Diggle's big DD plans when he takes over the helm of the book.

Andy Diggle is taking over Daredevil? Huh? I presume this is after Brubaker has finished his massive arc?

Though Diggle would be a great replacement.

Diggle on DD is interesting, but I'd be very sad to see Bru leave the book, he's kicked it up a notch recently it's a great read
