#102...

Really don't even care about this back and forth with Milla to be honest. But everything with Mr. Fear (despite how repetitive fear gas is) and The enforcers is pretty good stuff. The fight with Razorfist/Wrecker (is this guy popping up all over the place nowadays?) was sweet. I wish I read more titles so I knew what The Hood was up too exactly but I can't.

As I have said before there are no lame villains, only lame writers (expect maybe Stilt-Man :D ). A villain is as good as the writer makes him. I hope Brubaker uses other classic DD villains (Purple Man, Bushwacker, Mr. Hyde, Typhoid Mary, etc) because he has done good work with Mr. Fear. I think a lot of the Silver Age rogues and Nocenti created villains could easily fit in with the world of the modern DD.

I wonder if there will be a day when Daredevil sucks again, I hope not.

Milla's still freaking out and Matt is trying to hunt down the enforcers to help her.

And the end he captures Ox. It looks like Matt might channel a little Punisher.

Maybe it's just me.....but is anyone else bored by Brubaker's DD?

Don't get me wrong...DD is consistently one of teh best books Marvel puts out every month....but for the past 2 arcs I've been bored outta my mind reading them. His "Devil In Cell Block D" was ****ing brilliant and nail-bitingly tense....but lately I've been reading this book and finding it hard to stay focused and entertained.

I don't know....maybe I'm ranting. I just don't see where all this is going.

I disagree. I'm loving the set-up. The parts with Marvin and Milla going insane, and finding out it's Mr.Fear. And The Hood making appearances.

Not at all. I'm loving it. I will agree that Devil in Cell Block D was much more exciting but all of the developments with Mr. Fear and Milla are really good too.

I will also admit though that after reading Bru's Captain America I am totally willing to sit through several arcs that maybe aren't as good or exciting knowing that there will be a big payoff in the end.

And that's why I'm still reading. A) because it's Brubaker and B) because I know there will be a big pay off somewhere down the line....but as of right now I'm not seeing it.

I didn't see it early on in Captain America, either. But looking back, you can see that it was definitely moving in a direction from the start. I didn't even realize until re-reading this past weekend that Bucky appears in the first issue.

Anyone read the recent issue? Pretty much the same old escalation with two spikes for a build up. One being Lily deciding it's a good idea to visit Milla. And the cliff hanger with Daredevil going Cine-Punisher with a blowtorch on Fancy Dan.

I forget the name of the doctor but has he made an official appearance yet? I love how villains have a "night nurse" of their own.

What did everyone think of the latest issue?

DD was pretty hardcore, torturing Ox and all.

Larry Cranston is one nasty SOB.

Surely others have read DD's week, because the arc has unexpected conclusion.

There is no cure, that's why Larry killed the chemist working for him. Milla is pretty well doomed to stay insane for the rest of her life.
