Celebrity Deaths (updated weekly)

The rule of three thing is the stupidest, most retarded thing I have ever heard in my life and I just want to slap everyone who says it.

Weird that Michael Jackson is dead.

Yeah...it's like, he's not a person you ever think of dying. Not that he's immortal or anything stupid like that...it's hard to explain.

That's how I think about it, too.

Me three. I guess if he was like 99 or something, it would be different.

Well, his legend lives on at least:

I know what you mean, it's just not something you would ever expect to hear. Just one of the icons that seem like a permanent fixture in pop culture.

I know exactly what you mean. What's even weirder is that for the next generation he's going to be one of those modern legends, like Elvis. I still find it weird sometimes when I think about how my parents can clearly remember Elvis being a real person who was out there and not a long-dead, almost myth-like figure.

That's how I feel about kids who can't comprehend a pre-Tim Burton Batman existence.

(20 years old as of yesterday)

Oh, and when I heard about the Jeff Goldblum thing(prefaced with "By the way, this is a hoax, but there are reports going around today that...."), the version I heard was that him and Harrison Ford had both died in the accident(the two of them plus MJ dying on the same day would have almost certainly convinced me that I was dreaming the whole thing).

If Ford had died today, that would mean the #1 most commercially successful movie star and music star, of all time, had died on the same day.

It's sad to think that he will not, in fact, be listing the day's specials in a few years at Cafe 80s.

The funny thing is I can easily imagine what that was like. Maybe it's not long enough ago yet(I wasn't born, but I did exist when it happened), or maybe it's just that I've studied the pre-B'89 era of Batman so hard, but I honestly think it's weirder to picture the world before, say, my younger sister was born than before that movie came out.

Ah. I was always confused if he and Reagan were supposed to be Max Headroom style simulations, or Max Headroom-ized famous people pretending to be simulations, like the actual Max Headroom.

It's good to have this cleared up, since I now no longer have any reason to doubt that the year 2015 will look exactly how Back to the Future Part II portrays it.

More bad news then: a dead Great White washed up in Florida today. Guess this means no giant holographic Jaws 26es eating civilians.:(

Well we've still got hoverboards to look forward to.
