Celebrity Deaths (updated weekly)

When I heard it my first thought was how is this going to affect the Batman franchise. My second thought was that a guy just died and the first thing I think about is a movie...I'm going to hell.

The same thing here.
I feel really bad. He was a good actor...it's a shame he died this early. NYPD seems to have suggested drugs as a factor in his death. Don't take my word that it WAS the cause, though.

I just heard a rumor... and it is just that... a rumor... that he was messing with psychosis inducing drugs to prep for the Joker and got hooked. Don't know if it's true and I am not even sure they would reveal that if it was.
Too bad... he was a great actor and it is tragic whenever something like this happens.

Apparently, the pills found him were over the counter sleep medication. It's possible he had some sort of heart condition...
I'm just hopeful it wasn't an addiction-driven overdose. Too many good actors go out that way.

In preparation for TDK, he rarely slept. So he was most likely taking the pills because of that.

Do you think there could be any sort of legal action taken against WB or the makers of the Dark Knight if this is at all related to him preparing for the role?

Well....it's not like they forced him to not sleep. But I know what you mean.

The media is making it sound like Ledger couldn't get to sleep at night because he was so "frightened" by the "demonic" Joker.

...a place where a burglar once sued a homeowner that he severly cut himself on a knife while breaking into their house, and won.

Or worse

the idiot who sued Mcdonald's because he ordered a hot coffee and got one! making them put a "warning hot" label on the side. Because he was surprised it was hot.

bet he would of sued if it had been cold too:roll:

You shouldn't really think of yourself for going to hell, you don't know Heath Ledger, unless you're a huge fan of his work you don't have much emotional attachment. Nothing wrong for thinking this.

My guess is a massive cardiac arrhythmia. Since he made plans for later in the day, it's doubtful this was a suicide (know from experience).

Wow! Both Newsarama and CBR are down (for me anyway). I have a sneaking suspicion that this story is the cause of that.

Edit: Newsarama works again but slooooow.
Edit 2: ...and CBR too.

I wasn't serious. It was more like I was upset at my self for being so selfish.

WHAT THE ****?

Seriously.... how is this possible? Was there ever any rumour about him being into drugs in the first place? That stuff about the role-prep **** is just crazy. And think about all the true drug-fiend celebs out there who are still at it like Courtney Love and Keith Richards, and yet this happens. You really can never tell.

As for The Dark Knight, this sucks so much. Either they kill off the Joker at the end of this film, even though like the whole point was that they wouldn't, or awkwardly recast and further destabalize the franchise.

****.... seriously, what the hell?

True but I think if Brandon Lee can die while actually filming the crow and that came out this should too

What is it about guys in their twenties playing cut-mouthed comic characters and dying of drug overdoses before the movie comes out?

I think that was a line from the movie Liar Liar...
