I love it, I think it will look much better in the film after color adjustments. I have a feeling behind him are prototype combat suits made by howard stark and Cap's is a colored version made for him.
Still missing that middle stripe though...

Look Hollywood, firstly Cosmic Cube is an awesome name and much better than "Tesseract" but if you must change the name to 'tesseract', how about calling it by another name for tesseract which is "four-dimensional hypercube".

That is the best name for the Cosmic Cube I've ever heard. Tesseract can go piss up a tree. I want them calling it the Four-Dimensional Hypercube!

I like it. I still wish they didn't cover his ears up.
EDIT: Actually, looking at this a couple more times, it seems like he's carrying too much stuff. The suit has too many straps and extra things.

That looks much better than it seemed like it was going to. Even the red/white stripe situation is okay. The spacing makes it look like there's a white strip in the middle, not an open space where a red one is missing.

YES!!! His straps are strapped to his shoulders and he does appear to have a lot of gear attached to him. And the suit looks really baggy. (and warm)

I don't know what it is about the costume but there's something about that keeps me from liking it 100%. By no means is it bad, and I generally like it, but I can't help but think the colors are too bright. I dunno. Hopefully it will grow on me.

I'd rather him look like that when he gets fished out of the Atlantic Ocean though. That costume doesn't look like a WWII era superhero costume. I know there have been photos from the set where Cap's costume has a more brownish, classic costume that fits with the 1940s superhero aesthetic, but reckon that's when he still has his old shield and later on in the movie when he upgrades to the new shield he'll get his new costume.
