Just because I have some of the work done already and Marvel's Alien comics referenced both Blade Runner and Soldier (wtf...), I guess I should cover this too.

Blade Runner 2019 is set in 2026 by #5. Talk about false advertising. I don't know why people place it as happening during the original film, or even in November 2019. It literally has no reference to those events.

Just got to this. It doesn't sound like the same Arcadia from Soldier, but it does look like it.

Soldier references the Marvel Comics adaptation of Blade Runner. Interesting.

Definitely a different Arcadia to Soldier because Cleo doesn't mention the planet-wide explosion on her home in Blade Runner 2039 #3 (3 years after Soldier's events). I wonder if there's any connection between Arcadia and Arcadia 234, like perhaps Arcadia 234 is a neighbouring planet for waste disposal.

so are you certain this links in to AvP through the marvel comics?
Loosely, yes. Arcadia 234 appears in Soldier and Aliens: What If...?. An android is referred to as a replicant on two occasions in the same comic. Previous Marvel comics treat androids like replicants too, where they are trying to be left alone/want equality, basically treating them as more human. This is, of course, added on to the many easter eggs and references that already exist. Ridley Scott has implied a connection twice, but it was never 100% and there's room to doubt.

The greatest connection between the two, the Prometheus extras that discuss replicants and the events of Blade Runner, was denounced by the person who wrote it. He sent it to Ridley Scott, who had "no comment". There was absolutely a plan to connect it with Prometheus, where it would have been the Weyland-Tyrell Corporation in that film, and Peter Weyland would have had an android (replicant?) bodyguard that was the same model as Roy Batty, but that obviously never materialised past concept art.

Whether I'll include Blade Runner on the AVP timeline, well... I'm not sure about that right now. I'd rather finish this timeline as a completely separate entity. There's a few contradictions between the two that hold it back from being canon.

I'm sure you could explain them away. Maybe Weyland's Global Warming reversing technology (from 2016) was expensive to maintain or got destroyed. Maybe there was Faster-Than-Light technology prior to the 2030s, but Weyland Industries found a better method and created their first FTL ship in 2036 (I think that was the year). The Predator doesn't really contradict Blade Runner. There's actually tons of normal cars in Blade Runner. It's not like it's some insanely sophisticated, Star Trek-like world, at least on Earth. It kinda just means that there's off-world colonies and replicants at the same time that post-2000s stories take place. Just because something isn't mentioned doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Actually, according to the role-playing game guy's canon tier list (which is contradicted by the intention of the comic book and novel writers, and literally makes no sense XD), Blade Runner and Outland are on a higher canon level than Predator!!! LOL!

To quote the top comment on that page, though:
So Predator is "also separate from AVP and Alien/Prometheus". But "Weyland Yutani Report"is canon. And "WYR" mentioned events of "Fire and Stone" and "Rage War". "Out of the Shadows" & "River of Pain" are canon… which lead us to "Rage war"… "Rage War" is related to "Predator 2". "Aliens: Bughunt" is a myth or legend… But "Predator: If it bleeds" which use characters from "Bughunt" is not canon?
But "Blade runner", owned by a completely different studio, stands higher than Predator and AvP. Wow. And for some reason I listened to Tim Lebbon when he said that "Rage War" is canon…
It's funny because he claims Predator is a separate universe to AVP as well, despite the fact The Predator featured the Xenomorph tail spear from AVP and was supposed to feature Miss Yutani (from AVPR) and have time-travelling connections to Aliens... but sure, sure. I think he confused differentiating franchises and universes, because Alien, Predator and AVP are separate franchises... not separate universes.

i'm more of a casual with these franchise but from how you laid it out it makes sense

Will definitely be having another look at this when i get further into my marvel post

What is that with Outland? Didn't know there was any connection. The 80s one?

Yes. It uses many of the same props from the Alien series and feels VERY much like a Alien film without any aliens. There's tons of shared creatives between the two. It's more of the fact that they have very similar worlds (I'm certain Outland was intentionally modelled after the original Alien film) than having any proper connections.

If you go a little underneath the Alien timeline I've made, there's a list of connections between the two. I've missed a few, like reused sounds in Deckard's apartment from the Nostromo and quotes from Blade Runner in Alien: Covenant, but that's the essential gist of it. I should probably add images to it as well actually.

Aliens (1986) did reuse suits from Outland (1981), too. I don't consider Outland canon, but I guess the best place to hypothetically put it would be in 2124, two years after Alien, matching with release dates. There's nothing else to go off of.
