After 1000 years, they develop technology to travel the multiverse, thus leading to the events of AvA. That was a slightly incorrect premise, but even still. Who would have thought David would have returned in a crossover comic before an actual movie?

I think the character is supposed to be a cyborg or enhanced human, at least based on some videos I've seen regarding the movie. But I did see a post showing a Weyland-Yutani sign on a vehicle in the trailer.
