As for the first fatality, I'm hoping it's not Iron Lad, he's probably my favorite Young Avenger so far. Plus it'd be alot of work to get the temorals to line up.

And honestly, this isn't Teen Titans, it's Young Justice.

It's not Arrowette anyomore, it's Speedy and Superboy is more likely Hulkling and Wonder girl is Ausgardian, kinda....

I know, I'm just saying that the line up seems to match Young Justice to me more than Teen Titans.

Did Speedy join up with the Titans already? I pick them up in TPB (Like I seem to on everything else anymore), though she was just doing a guest star bit.

Joined now with the arch Lights Out (IC Tie In) and she will stay.
But as for the Young Avengers, i just dont know what to think....

Think GREAT! Why does it matter with the comparisons? Enjoy the book and its stories! It's been awesome in the first 2 issues.
 
Hopefully when Ultimate Reed breaks into the 616 Universe, Ultimate Hawkeye will see the travesty of 616 Hawkette, and promptly give her some instant ventilation.

i don't think it's going to go over to well with old-avengers fans. cause you just killed him how long and now you already have a new person to take his place in the 616.
 
I don't know if she will adopt the name Hawkeye, but if she does it will probably done in honor of him. I don't see why people would get mad about her honoring a hero by taking his codename.

i think it'd be more hawkeye esque if she took the name not really out of tribute to honor him, but out of simply believing she's that good. because hawkeye was pretty cocky.

Point taken. However, Young Justice were explicitly designed to reflect the different Fruedian psychological functions. Robin was, I think, the Ego. Superboy was the Super-Ego. And Impulse was definitely the Id. Even Peter David's script explicitly acknowleged that.

So I'd say the Young Avengers line-up is less a rip-off of Young Justice than it is similarly inspired by Freudian character types.

With that in mind, Patriot would be the Ego, Asgardian the Super Ego, Hulkling the Id... I think.

(Incidentally, who could be the possible Young Avengers counterpart of Secret, then?)

We barely know these characters, but from what we've already seen I would have to agree with you. At least with Hulking being the Id.

Is Hulking stuck in that form?
