24- The Bauer Power Hour series discussion (spoilers)

Jack Bauer's final going wacko scenes with Heller weren't too shabby. If only the entire season (aside from Fayed) hadn't totally sucked up to this point.

"Like your wife did" BOOM!
The Jack going wacko scenes in this season were what the entire season should have been.

I agree, the rest of the episode was meh but that last part was pretty good, I was half expecting Jack to off himself at the end. Lets hope next season will be better

You know what was the most awesome thing this season aside from Jack biting the dude in the neck?

Ricky Schroeder.

That's saying something.

Are you kidding? Doyle is the worst!

Read the post again. See what I'm comparing the season to. I'm comparing the season to Doyle. That's how bad it was.

But for the record---I didn't dislike him. I thought he was ok. I think because he reminded me of me back when I used to do field work. No matter. The season was still a HUGE letdown.

God I miss Nina.

Time to go on Youtube to see if I can find everyone's favorite 24 moment....

Jack Shot Her In The Leg

Damn that was awesome.

No, see, the only good part of that scene was Jack freaking out. Then it just went into "Oh I Love you lalalalalala" mode, followed by one of the most captivating cliffhangers I have ever seen.

Seriously. What an abysmal excuse for 24. I was hoping to god Jack would just shoot himself in the head.

I think you're being overly harsh.

This season sucked. Definetly not up to standards. But it wasn't as terrible as you seem to think.

No, I'm afraid it was that bad. Frankly, I wouldn't have been surprised to see Orson Scott Card as the lead writer when the credits rolled.

It was Ultimate Iron Man. It was Ultimate Deadpool.

Well, regardless of what everyone else thinks, I thought it was a great season. No, it wasn't the best- that honor, at least for me, goes to season five. But I don't for a second think that this has been a horrible season, or even the worst (that would probably go to season four, but even then, I loved season four, so that tells you what I think of the series as a whole). Oh, and the season finale was fantastic. It really brought this show back to what it is at heart: a drama about Jack Bauer. And, as much as a giant final duel to death with Pappa Bauer might have been satisfying on the most basic level, I feel much more satisfied with the ending they gave us. Way to go, 24, you've given us another great season.

I'm caught in between S&P and Volunteer Fire Detective. It probably was the worst 24 season so far, but was still better than 90% of the other crap on television.

Yes, he really is over exagerating it. It started out great, but then lost it. It's the worst 24 season, but not as bad as he claims. FAR from bringing OSC into this.

I did like how it ended.

The good news is at least the producers realized that this season was sub-par. The ending was ambiguous enough that they can probably do anything they wanted for Season 7.

Doyle was annoying at first, but when he started to actually take Jack's side I think he greatly improved his likability factor. But chances are we won't see him next season because of what happens to him, unless they'll let a CTU agent running around blind or with an eyepatch.

I was a little disappointed that the Russian attack was withdrawn because of one of the things that could up the next season up a notch is a world war. I think we've have enough of our fill of terrorists. Since China seems to be the big bad, we might see that anyway.

Janeane Garofalo has just joined next season's cast.

You're losing me 24. You're losing me. Last season's ho-humness....and now her?

The chick from Mystery Men?

Colette from Ratatouille?

I gotta be honest - with all the production delays plaguing this season due to scrapped storylines, this is the show I'm probably least looking forward to this year. Out of the 15 frakkin' shows I watch a year. It's a shame, too, that Season 5 was just so damn perfect and then everything went to hell after that.

I've never seen Mystery Men or Ratatouille, so I guess I'll just have to wait until the season starts up to decide if I like her or not.

Also, I'm actually really looking forward to this show this season. The fact that they are scrapping storylines, that they are putting sincere effort into coming up with innovative new ideas for the series, just goes to show that they learned from their mistakes last season. If anything, to me the production delays show that these writers and producers are as tired of the same mistakes and plot lines that we as the fans are, and by God, they are going to do something about it!

But seriously, I'm really looking forward to this. I think that this season has the potential to be one of the best of the series simply because of the amount of work that's going into pleasing the fans as best as possible.
