X-Men Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Revised & Original)

Naw. The Logan connection was definitely intentional.

In regards to the "No new mutants born after 2004", I mean, as an estimate yeah. There would be 1% of leftovers in the next generation; possibly why the New Mutants were so special to begin with.
Also, very often are species declared extinct only for years later for them to pop up again and thus no longer extinct but still endangered.
Life finds a way but for the most part, Mutants are mostly gone in the generations after 2004 regardless.

A couple years ago I was toying with the X-Men continuity and discovered that you can experience the saga in lots of different manners :
  1. X-Men
  2. X-Men United
  3. X-Men : Last Stand
  4. X-Men : First Class
  5. The Wolverine
  6. X-Men : Days of Future Past
  7. X-Men : Apocalypse (sh*t movie, but great conclusion for the saga)
I skipped Wolverine Origins, Deadpool 1 & 2, Logan, Dark Phoenix, and New Mutants because they don't fit in.

X-Men '97 gave me the need to get another crack at the franchise but I didn't have a lot of time, so I came up with what I consider probably the best way for non-Marvel fans to have a shot at the X-Men saga :
  1. X-Men
  2. X-Men United
  3. Logan
This makes a perfect trilogy, with little to no inconsistencies, there are only some nods to the first X-Men film and some references to the Weapon X program which can be found in the second installment. What's left is a great three-parter with the thematic of found-family as its core

I like to think of the franchise as 3 sagas,

The Wolverine saga
Origins
X1
X2
X3
The Wolverine
Logan

Young Xavier saga
First Class
DoFP
Apocalypse
Dark Phoenix

Deadpool saga
Deadpool 1-3

Oh and then theres New Mutants which doesn’t really fit into any of these

Anyone played the Origins Wolverine game? I think it's the best pre-Arkham superhero game, especially for a movie tie-in. I actually think it fits into canon much better than the film. I love the DoFP tease in the bookends too. Really cool stuff in there
Finally finished it, lot of fun but I wouldn’t say it fits into canon any more than the movie does. I mean, theres no way mystique could’ve been on Team X. Nightcrawler isn’t even born yet. It also has a different Bolliver Trask, I know the last stand does too but they never give you his first name so its easy enough to assume he was just someone different. The DoFP bookends were cool but also kinda pointless and completely unrelated to the game idk. I wonder if there was ever any plans to have something like that in the movie. Theres a lot of points in the story where you would have absolutely no idea whats going on unless you had seen the movie. They kinda skip over some important parts of the plot. Enjoyable game though

@selfishmisery

Could these be added to the timeline since they are in-universe? (also they should be archived as there are no mirrors I could find and I wouldn't be surprised if these get deleted someday).

They’re just little inner thought promo pieces, I don’t see how or where you would put these in a timeline. I should add it to my list of tie in media though

Yeah, maybe it won't fit in a timeline. Albeit I still consider them canon (Emma Frost was retconned though).
Was it just these 3 or where there any more?
These are the only three I could find.

Hey everyone, I was recently rewatching Fox-Men movies, and I saw The Wolverine. In the film, there's the character Yukio, who at the end kind of becomes Logan's "sidekick"/bodyguard. Then there's the post-credits scene with a two-year time skip from the events of the movie, Logan is at the airport, but alone, and then he reunites with Charles and Erik.

What do you think happened to Yukio? Did she die between the movie and the post-credits scene?

Now, regarding Charles Xavier, we know he awakened in a new body at the end of The Last Stand in 2006. We see him again in 2015 when he reunites with Logan, along with Erik, in The Wolverine's post-credits scene.

So what did Charles do between 2006 and 2015? Did he return to the X-Mansion but decide to keep an eye on Logan without Logan knowing he was alive? Did he stay low-profile until the right time to appear? I believe he used Cerebro to find Logan at the airport to recruit him for the war against Sentinels. The X-Mansion get possed by Trask Industries in 2010, the school get closed, the students and X-Men part away, so Charles, with Erik and Hank, create a Cerebro mobile on X-Jet. We see in DOFP that have a Cerebro on X-Jet. Then Xavier and Erik learned about Sentinels, they go after mutants to help them.

What do you think?

Honestly, it’s probably all documented on the Wiki, or someplace else. While the Marvel Wiki isn’t the most reliable for the FoX-Men specifically, I’d imagine what happens from 2006-2015 is somewhat well documentei
