Lame.

When did Wizard become Marvel's ***** again?
 
Poor Image and Dark Horse. They have to pay to get some action.
 
So the new issue of Wizard has their picks for the best of 06. Instead of even mentioning other contenders---they went for the just the meat and potatoes. Only winners.

No. That had a huge plot hole.

The volume of ads is off-putting and distracting; it's actually prompted me to cut down on single issues and trade-wait several Marvel titles. Joe Q ultimately has the power to put a stop to this insanity, yet he has made the conscious decision to go with it. That's a real shame.

From what I understand in every other civil war issue.

It's against the law for a unregistered superhuman to be a superhero.

Only if you are in the act of being one.

As soon as the law passed. Luke Cage was in his home not doing anything. I thought they had the option to retire?

Plus it was at midnight. Midnight! They waited at his house not even giving him a chance to sign or what.

That last reason is kind of shady cause might have been able to do it in advance.

Well, waiting at his house isn't a plot hole. They knew he wouldn't sign at all, hence them waiting. And they also knew Luke wouldn't stop doing the superheo biz, so there it is right there.

So? I'm not saying x is better than Marvel because Marvel raised prices. The comment was that there are too many ads, and I said on top of that they increased the price too. One would assume that by increasing the number of ads it would prevent having to raise the cover price, especially if Marvel specifically and comics as a whole was/are doing as well financially as we are led to believe.

I agree 100% with this.. The enforcement of the registration act has been incredibly inconsistent. Marvel cant decide whether not signing is the crime, or refusing to hunt down heroes is the crime, or whether vigilantiism is the crime.

I mean, Cap was gonna sign, but he was attacked by SHIELD for refusing to hunt down heroes. The X Men refused to hunt down heroes and Tony shook their hands. Yet when Spiderman wants to stop hunting heroes, they use the Thunderbolts on them.

I like the story, but the registration act isnt being applied universally.

EDIT: I agree about the ads, but whats this about the cover price raising? To be honest I havent looked at a cover price in a couple weeks. The X Axis (www.thexaxis.com) has been consistently trashing Marvel about the ads in their reviews, I think its spot on.

All books that weren't already $2.99/issue were raised to $2.99.

But again, Marvel's not the only one who raised prices so why would you single out Marvel for that?
 
Anyone who didn't like the luke cage issue is a racist. There, I said it.



i thought everyone liking that issue was just a UC thing. Glad we're not the only ones. Cmon, hero of the Year? Superman? Can't someone else have gotten that, Like Joe Q? An maybe ads just went up because of the holiday season.
