Right, because we can't have an opinion on how the drawing of how he looks like there. Sorry.

You're not talking about the drawing style your talking specifically about Thor. All the comments are themed as if you were commenting on the artist interpretation of a costume or something. It's just a man and it's just how he draws guys.

Can you comment on whether or not you liked the drawing MWoF? Did you think the drawing style suited the character? Or is all that just not something you ever think about?
I like Hitch's drawing of people better but I'm not gonna say this Thor is crap. And a drawing style suits characters individually? I can't say if it does or doesn't. Really that I can't comprehend doing that. If his Thor is crap then his Tony, Steve, Hank, Bruce are all crap too. Personally, it doesn't bother me right now but it's only one person I'm seeing and I can't comment on a drawing of one guy. I'll hold off on the art until I see the full pictures.

Yeah, if one of my drawings sucks (and believe me, some do), that doesnt mean that ALL of them do.

I just set myself up...
I'm done.

That was 2 minutes of my life I'd like back.

Yeesh, where to begin here?

  • Ultimate Ultron (The villain) has been slated to appear for a while, says Millar.

  • Pym turned into Yellowjacket? I don't remember.

  • Regarding Rhodes. I don't know if I should slap you for not paying attention to Ultimate Iron Man or congratulate you.

  • Something about USM that's off-topic.

  • I would like the list and I will look too because personally I hate the whole eye color theory that has brought us rumors of life model decoys and evil clones.

Read the Ultimates 2 1st issue, page 16, panel 3 and 4. It's actually Ant Man but he's riding a wasp or a hornet so I figured yellowjacket. He's talking to Banner and says, "Do you think Ant Man sounds retarded?" As far as the rest go, Austin sucks with the comic scene and I can only rely on Barnes and Noble for their graphic novels. And yes I do buy one too many mocha fraps. So maybe I do need to lay off the coffee. Damn, I feel like you guys know me already. As far as the iron man mini series, I heard that his skin was originally blue and the his whole body is a brain ( or something ) and that the alcohol dulls the pain of, I guess, thinking too much. Didn't know about Ultron or Rhodes. Damn, I thought I had finally caught something no one else bothered to do. Oh well.

Here's the eye color scheme:
Ultimates 1

Chapter 2: Big

Tony Stark: Page 11, Blue; Page 14, brown

Chapter 3: 21st Century boy

Jan Pym: page 2, brown; page 3, blue and then brown

Chapter 4: Thunder

Thor: page 10, blue; page 11 and 12, brown( but it's debatable because of the fire and the fact that it's night might make his eyes look that way)

and then Black widows' go from blue to green. And Pym's are red when he fights Cap. Ok, I'm starting to think that it's more of, "the way they feel at the time" kind of thing. Someone agree or disagree.

Also, why does Hawkeye look Borderline mocha in the beginning but then in Ult Secret he looks anglo?

No doubt! He looks like he cracks peoples' jaws just by looking at them.

Definitely. Guys, don't think the Ultimates 3 is going to be that big of a departure from Ultimates 1 and 2... I think Loeb is going to put his own spin on the title, but keep it close to the source material. When does this come out? I'm ready to see you guys think it's the best since Ultimates 1, because, face it, Ultimates 2 hasn't been that great.

I think Thor looks totally awesome... I think I'm the only member on this board looking forward to this run! :)

You know what, though? You've got someone like me to look up to, man! :) Think about that...

I think the art is fine. I'm not a fan of photorealism, so Mad's work is more fitting for this medium. At least for me.

I think the atowrk is good, a little on the manga side, but I think it's good. Although Thors' ear is pretty small. I wonder if he could even hear a mouse fart with those.

I liked it, except for the midget ear.

Yeah, WTF was up with that? It may as well had an elf/Vulcan tip to it, or maybe a flipper. It really stands out in a bad way.

In the beginning he had a tan...?

What are you smoking because I need some of that! Wait...no I don't...not if it makes me think Ultimates 2 "isn't that great". Its heroin, isn't it? You're too mushed up to even read the damn thing, aren't you, you damn junkie!

Ultimates 2 is even better than Ultimates 1 in my opinion. I'm loving every melodramatic and poignant yet kick-*** moment of the book so far, especially the last couple issues. I agree the traitor plot was dragged on a bit too long, but that was mostly due to the constant delays. It can't really be blamed on the writer/artist fault in dragging out a story too much over eight or nine issues. When reading it as single issues it can be tedious, but read it as a trade and tell me it feels drawn out then. And this isn't really directed at Goodwill, as I'm not sure what he specifically doesn't like or feels is lacking in the sequel series. I've just heard a lot of *****ing on a lot of sites about the traitor plot going on way too long. And I can agree, but only from a scheduling standpoint. When did Ultimates 2 start to ship, the end of 2004? So it took us around 14 months to find out the identity. Yeah, thats a hell of a long time. Even 9 months might have been a bit long, but more than acceptable given the circumstances (and especially compared to current ones). Anywhoo, once complete I don't doubt Ultimates 2 will rank up there as one of the best stories written in the comics medium in current times.

Dude, he doesn't even read it.

Man, my dad doesn't even read comics. He reads crap on theology and history. I told him to read the Ultimates line and all he said afterwards was, " That is some damn good writing." As far as I'm concerned, that like hearing it from a New York Times P.R. or something.

From Loeb's Thor sketch, I see Thor as not only being the most powerful member of the Ultimates now but also the deadlyist. I like this image for him. In Ultimates 1 & 2, he was secure in the belief that he didn't need to put up a constant defense or exert his full power in a fight, but now, I think he's going to be a more cynical and rageful character at the end of Ultimates 2, with a small ear complex.

Hahaha...I'll bet Fury will be pissed when Thor'll keep asking to repeat what he just said. It'll be like Meatwad saying, "Do what know?" over and over in the Baloonenstein episode...

I agree...I just wonder how he'll actually stay with the team this time around. I mean at first I thought he just did it to be known to other countries that he exists. Did they show Quicksilvers' uniform or is he even going to be on the team?

alright:

on Iron Man:

I saw someone saying he looked too much like Nimrod, I think that's the perfect image of what it looks like. Good job. ( I don't like it, btw )

on the Anime argument:

I'm not into the magna style for Ultimates because I'm not into the big bang super-hero fight concept of U3. U1 and U2 were all about how superheroes would be in a real world, with politics and shades of grey and all that fun stuff. Making it into the opposite kind of book is kinda lame in my opinion, takes the spirit out of the book. Draw the characters a classic kind of way and it just becomes a grittier 616 version, which is an awful idea. So I suppose it's not that I'm into Mags, I'm not into U3. Hah.

on the "Right to Criticize Art" argument a few pages back:

Samuel Johnson once said that if you pay a man to make you a table, and the table isn't level, you have every right to call him a douche and get your money back (or criticise, if you're civilized, i guess), despite the fact that you can't make a better table. It's his job to make tables.

So, in summation, you don't need experience to criticise. I really only wanted to use the Samuel Johnson story, because it's good. Also, he made fun of Scotsmen a lot.

His definition for Oats (he wrote the first dictionary):

A grain that, in England, is fed to horses, but in Scotland sustains the people.

Four new sketches... well five but for some reason when I put it in it comes out as the Iron Man sketch.
