I met Michael Showalter on Wednesday and it was totally awesome.

Yeah, it was at a reading he did at Chapters(a big Canadian bookstore, the one attached to the cinema they go to in Scott Pilgrim actually) promoting his new book Mr. Funny Pants. He did a great Q&A session after the reading where I got to talk to him for the first time. Got the book signed after that plus the cover of my Wet Hot American Summer dvd, and a photo with him. After that he did a 2-hour+ standup act at a club, which was excellent too. My friends and I were close enough to touch the stage and I took this video of it(NSFW, f-bombs):

The enthusiastic yelling girl eventually got booed out of the audience about an hour and six beers later, and some extremely clean-cut-looking kid called her the c-word, which Showalter thought was hilarious and did this whole bit about it. She's also saw this video and has messaged my account a bunch of times insisting I take the video off of YouTube or she'll.... I dunno, flag it or something? Pfft. I've said no.
